Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa

From the moment you enter the hotel, it feels like a dream — the view is absolutely breathtaking. The service was warm, kind, and professional throughout our stay. We stayed in a villa that was spacious and spotless, and everything was very well maintained. An amazing experience in every way: an excellent hotel with outstanding service and incredible food. Highly recommended — we would love to return.

My wife and I stayed at the Renaissance Koh Samui resort for our Honeymoon, and we loved our time there. We experienced outstanding customer service the entire time. The staff was all tremendously accommodating, friendly, and helpful with any questions we had and made the whole experience perfect. There are almost daily events going on in the evening at the beach for dinners, the spa was excellent, facilities all clean, and the food was delicious. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you everyone that made our stay so great.

Truly, Paradise on earth. The rooms are magnificent, albeit we had a beach Villa. The property is close enough to Lamai centre to enjoy all the nightlife you could want, but far enough away (1.5 miles) to avoid the 'madness' if that's your choice. It sits directly on the beach with a great Pool. There's also a Gym and a Spa and 3 great restaurants. The service from everyone, from cleaners to managers, is simply perfect. The hotel staff could not do enough for us; they organized airport transfers, restaurant reservations off property and tours of the island. Having said all staff members are great, I want to highlight 2 people who went 'above and beyond' - Maiya and Aod. They helped us so much and were so friendly - wonderful service. We are already planning a return in 2027. And must say that the breakfast and the Beach 'fire' dinner/BBQ were also amazing.

Dates : Wed 17 Sep 2025 - Thu 25 Sep 25 2025 We've stayed at the Renaissance Phuket twice, so it's hard not to compare. Renaissance Koh Samui may be older, but its ancient temple-style terracotta finishings and lush gardens give the whole place an old-world charm. What both Renaissance hotels share is an exceptional sense of service and consistently high F&B standards. Special thanks to Chin. When we mentioned that some noisy guests had disturbed our sleep as they were checking out early one morning, Chin didn’t hesitate to kindly move us to a quieter (and even nicer) room. There are plenty of budget-friendly dining options outside the hotel, but if you’re looking for something different and more refined, I’d highly recommend dining in at TawaNN and Banana Leaf. Special thanks to Ning and the chefs. I’d love to have the recipe for that special fish dish Banana Leaf served on 18 Sep 2025; it was surprisingly delicious. I thought I could make a good Massaman curry, but TawaNN’s version with beef cheeks and pumpkin was on another level. And the Gang Karee Pla Fak Tong was another triumph. The breakfast noodle stand is a must. Special thanks to Mam for introducing us to Mee Heng, another special I’d highly recommend requesting. Special thanks also to Pond for the relaxing morning yoga sessions and introduction to Muay Thai. We loved the 50-metre lap pool. The beach is great for paddle boarding, though at low tide it’s not ideal for swimming. If I could stay longer, I’d love to explore the nearby waters for snorkelling spots. I suspect there’s real potential with a small boat. Perhaps this is something for the team to consider as an alternative to the longer excursions on offer? Did we enjoy our stay? Oh yes. Would we come back? Definitely.

On checking in we realised the room would be across the road seperate from the main hotel, so we upgrade to a bungalow at a discounted price. From our six weeks in Thailand and staying at 5 different hotels, this was the best for service, room resturant and breakfast what a wonderful choice plus excellent coffee. For dinner we actually enjoyed best from three resturants the beach bar/resturant, perfectviews over the beach and sea. 15 minute walk to excellent Thai massage Sabai Sabai.

When booking we did not realise the room would be in an annexe across the road from the main hotel, we were able to upgrade at a discounted price.
