Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa

We stayed at this beautiful luxury hotel in Thailand for a few days during our second honeymoon, and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They made us feel very special and went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. The food at the hotel was excellent, and dinner in particular was outstanding, with a wide variety of high-quality options. While the overall experience is quite expensive compared to typical Thailand prices, it is absolutely worth it for the level of service, comfort, and luxury you receive. Our room was spotless, flawless, and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping was impeccable, and everything felt fresh, clean, and very well maintained throughout our stay. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy our time together. Overall, this hotel offers an exceptional combination of luxury, comfort, and outstanding service. It’s an ideal choice for couples, honeymoons, or anyone looking for a special and memorable stay. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

The hotel is quite distant from restaurants and shops, more secluded, so our explorations were limited to cab rides.

The Renaissance Koh Samui is one of my favorite hotels in the world. The staff are all very nice, from reception to F&B to operations to housekeeping, literally everyone! I’d like to mention Bess (office manager), Woody (restaurant manager), and Chin (operations manager), as all of these staff members are friendly and so welcoming to us. We stayed in this hotel three times in 2025, and the experience is why we keep coming back. The Renaissance isn’t the newest or most modern hotel on the island, but it has the perfect mix of vibes, natural surroundings, and friendly staff members. We always reserve a pool villa and love the design of the villa, the private courtyard and private pool. We can’t wait to come back to this hotel again in 2026.

This is an idyllic location ideal for a resort. It is away from the bustle around the airport but is not too far. The hotel has a great atmosphere, the staff help immensely with this by offering a high level of service orientated friendliness. The whole breakfast staff including Sam were great. The pool staff were always joyful especially for happy hour. And across all of this Art was an amazing character and made the time very special! The chalet rooms give a feeling of isolation but are easily access. The property is a great location with the spa, the pool and the beach offering something for everyone.

We were given the best hospitality from the second we walked in. The reception staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. We loved everyone who served us at the restaurants and will always have fond memories of Art and Woody! The food on site is excellent, and we especially loved the beachfront bbq. Our massages at the spa were INCREDIBLE! Overall it was the perfect resort for our honeymoon and we would return in a heartbeat.
