Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa

Just spent 3 nights at Renaissance in Samui. A delightful experience from arrival to departure. Spacious beautiful villa with private pool was wonderful, quiet, and relaxing. Usually, I tend to go into the nearby village to eat local food, but the on-site restaurant was excellent with a beautiful view. The grounds were well landscaped and maintained, of course. But the best reason for 5 stars was the hotel staff. Everybody was very courteous and went out of their way to make sure we were pleased with our visit to Koh Samui. Highly recommended.

I booked two rooms at this hotel, as Bonvoy Ambassador Elite one of the rooms was upgraded to a garden pool villa and one upgraded to deluxe room. I was not a big fan of the villa because it was dark and the hotel is quite old, but considering the normally quite expensive hotels in Samui, to have a villa upgrade when paying 4k THB for a standard room is quite generous and it's hard to argue about the value. But if I was paying for the room I get, personally I thought the deluxe room with sea view was quite nice for what it is, and perhaps more desirable. It did not have a private plunge pool, but it had a jacuzzi outdoors so almost as good. The restaurant seating area was way too small outdoors, it was always full, so we sat indoors every day. In terms of breakfast offerings, it was ok. They have an interesting printing machine for cappuccino. We could send a picture to staff and they would print it in the cappuccino. Our children loved it! Overall this hotel did not "wow" but if I compare it to other hotels where we have stayed in Koh Samui in the past for this price range, it's a very good resort so I can recommend it.

An amazing resort. The staff are great. What ever you ask for - you get in 2 minutes. I would like to mention the manager Bess who did everything he can in order to make sure we enjoy. Great facilities, Great breakfast. the dinning options are very good. great pool area, silent beach. We loved it.

it's a little far - not in Lamai, not in Chaweng. there are shuttles from the resort, but only until late afternoon. besides, the water are low sometimes, and only when the tide comes - you can enter the water.
