De locatie is iets wat afgelegen van Lamai, maar als je van lopen houd is dat niet een probleem. Een taxi is ook zo geregeld.

Spent a lovely four nights at this hotel during our road trip to Koh Samui. The view from our spacious sea-view room was picturesque. Although the room and hotel grounds felt somewhat aged, they were well-maintained, especially the wooden parts that are constantly exposed to moisture and humidity. Despite this, we had a good night's sleep every night of our stay. At breakfast, we loved the variety of made-to-order eggs, waffles, and crepes, which made each morning's meal feel different and enjoyable. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's annual Renaissance Discovery Night. This event featured a complimentary buffet dinner with delicious samples of local signature dishes and desserts. It truly was a wonderful evening. Lastly, we were delighted with the hospitality of the front desk staff, who assisted us with check-in and check-out, as well as booking our day trips around Koh Samui. Please keep up the good work!

The staff were excellent; from Alice at the front desk, to Aum, Grace and all the other staff at the restaurants, they were all very cheerful a nd responded immediately to any requests. The restaurants' food were also delicious and we saw no reason to eat elsewhere! The facilities were also good, with 2 pools, one of which is a 50m lap pool which was really good for exercise.

The mosquitoes! There were quite a lot of them!

We had 2 days to fill during our trip to Thailand and chose this resort in Ko Samui. What a find. This is true Thai hospitality at its best. Chin and the team really make you feel welcome and all the staff are friendly, smiling and attentive. The gardens are beautiful. The room is clean, lots of amenities and quality toiletries. Our bed was so comfortable. A great experience.

Here is the English translation for your review: The Renaissance Koh Samui Resort is one of the biggest disappointments I have ever experienced. The hotel's condition is appalling—many areas appear neglected, in dire need of renovation, and do not even remotely meet international standards. Even worse is the attitude of the staff. While I have always encountered genuinely friendly and professional service in Thailand, I was treated here, as a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Member, with an arrogance I have never experienced before. Requests were ignored, concerns dismissed, and instead of appreciation, all I received was indifference and disinterest. For a stay during an important family occasion, every expectation of the hotel and the Marriott brand was disappointed. Absolutely not recommended—especially for loyal Bonvoy members! One positive aspect was that they offered our son a private Thai boxing class with beautiful and engaged staff from the Gym! Thank you guys for making at least this possible
