Super 8 by Wyndham Butler

Very dirty hotel. We were first assigned a room. When we got to the room, there was garbage all over, a used towel on the floor, and beds were not made. We brought this up to the people behind the desk. They reassigned us a different room, which was cleaner, but had a terrible, musty odor, much like that of a nursing home per smell. There was only one towel in the bathroom. The carpet was also dirty and did not seem to be touched with a sweeper. Also, the pictures on the website are nowhere near how bad this place was. TV did not work and there was no breakfast offered although it was advertised. Place needs to be inspected, shutdown, and reimbursement be provided to customers who fell into this trap.

Worst hotel stay in years. Check in was slow, hallway smelled of cigarettes, when you enter room 115, air is musty. I found mold partially covered with paint and black mold under lavatory and behind toilet. Paint had a bubble under it filled with water from a leak inside the wall. The room is clean, but very dated. Cigarette burns in both comforters.one bed had two pillows, second bed had one. One lamp shade looked battered, security lock didn’t latch.

This was the worst super 8 that I have ever stayed in. It was filthy the carpet had cigarette burns all over it. It smelled of smoke and pee, the floor hasn’t been vacuum for weeks, the dresser drawer had dead cockroaches and pot seeds. I have pictures.

The bar that held the shower broke ans i fell causing further damage to my legs

1.) Sheets have cigarette burns in them. 2.) None smoking room that stinks of smoke. 3.) Hole in bathroom door.

This was the worst property I have ever stayed. The whole place smelled of smoke, the bedspread and sheets had cigarette burns and twere roaches. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Bed bugs

I always want to leave a positive review and be as optimistic as possible, but this Super 8 was extrememly disappointing. The clerk was nice enough to see if there was a non-smoking room available as I must have forgotten requesting such in making the reservation. She did find the cleaning staff, and apparently were able to find a room. But when I opened the door, it was in complete disarray, either due to work being done, or some disrespectful prior occupants. The bed was covered with things. I left immediately, and the clerk had to give me a smoking room. That was my own fault in not specifiying such. But even this rentable room had issues. I can deal with the wear and tear, but in the December cold, one needs to have a functioning heater. Worse, the bed had a sheet and a bed cover. No blanket. Normally, I like it cool when I sleep, but ideal sleep temperature is 62 to 67. It must have been barely 60 something, and no blanket. Unacceptable. Admittedly, I made no mention to the desk staff, as they could possibly addressed the situation, but to me, items are integral to a good night of rest. As I paid for two good nights of rest, and got none, I am very displeased with this location as it leaves me irritable today. I didn't need to be in Butler, so I regret not investigating other hotels throughout the Pittsburgh area. Caveat emptor.

We checked in on Friday evening. The lobby was full of people who were drinking alcohol and being very loud. They were so loud that I could not hear the clerk at the desk. This made checking in very difficult. We could actually hear them on the third floor. The room was clean ish. Very dated.The TV remote was broken. The pillows were terrible. On Saturday evening when we returned after our event there were empty beer bottles everywhere, outside and in the stairwells. We asked the clerk for more pillows, but we were told that they did not have anymore. We asked a couple of blankets to use as pillows and she gave us one blanket. There not enough towels in the room for three people either. Water pressure is minimal at best in the shower. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. We travel a good bit going to RC car races throughout the country. This was by far the worst hotel that we have stayed in. I would personally look somewhere else for a room.

Looks like it hasn’t been renovated since the 1980s. Terrible bed linens, poor carpet. Lamps have pitiful cracked shades. Really a dismal place. No room service in a 4 day stay.No redeeming value. My last time at a Super 8.
