Super 8 by Wyndham Butler

Hotel was overbooked bad we did not get a room. I need my money back and compensation for all the trouble I had to go through finding a new hotel at the middle of the night.

We reserved a room and paid for it and when we arrived we were told nothing was available for us

After driving 20 hours I get there and they told me they didn’t have a room for me. I threw a tizzy. Surprisingly, they found a room but when I got to it, you open the door to a stench so much so that we checked for bed bugs first thing. Comforter had burn holes all through a non-smoking room. It was dingy as if they hadn’t changed furniture since the 80s. Never stay here.

Dirty, no coffee for the coffee maker, furniture is torn, lots of burn marks throughout, 1 tiny piece of soap, no housekeeping.

This place was gross from the start. The lobby stank of cigarettes and mold. Upon entering the room, we were greeted with the same stench. The carpets were horribly stained. The beds were sloppily made without fitted sheets. The only cover beyond the flat sheet was a thin, coarse covering that felt like drapery material. Both bed covers had multiple cigarette holes, ON A NON-SMOKING ROOM!!! There was only one set of of towels for a room we booked for 4 people and they were very old yowels to boot. Bathroom floor and dink had very minimal cleaning and no toiletries, not even a bar of soap. There was a bullet hole in the front window which was not remotely clean. We wanted ice but there was no ice bucket. Too tired to schlepp back to desk, I opted to use a lined trash can. When some ice missed the bag, I went to retrieve it to discover the inside of the can had black mold, dirt, and cigarette butts. A quick examination of the 2nd can had the same result. Disgusting! I went to adk for sn ice bucket and was told if there wasn't one in the room they didn't have any. There was no laundry facilities or breakfast as advertised. After a very difficult camping trip where we were forced to stay in area overnight to await a tow for our trailer the only thing I can say was that the room didnt have 6 inches of mud in it.

We slept reasonably well and didn't feel our health was in danger, but we our hall reeked of cigarette smoke and it was disturbingly strong in our no smoking room. We found whiskers around the sink and some debris came out of the in-room coffee maker into my cup. The carpet felt gross under bare feet. The advertized continental breakfast has not existed since COVID 19. We found damage to the bathroom door was left unrepaired. Back door to building did not close/lock. TV had pixel streaks. But it was the cheapest place in town, was quiet, allowed our dog for $20, but I don't think I'd repeat a stay here without improvements.

The bedspreads have burn marks. Carpet is old, dirty, stained. I can not believe this meets Wyndham standards. The building is open to the public anyone can enter thru the door at the end of the building opposite of the office.

We arrived and found out our booking was canceled. We had not received as much as a phone call regarding this in the days before. We had driven 8 hours from NC and we were almost left without a place to stay. Very upset and disappointed regarding this

I got there after a 4.5 hour drive only to be told that they had no cleaning people and all reservations were canceled. No one contacted me to tell me this. Then the person at the desk said to drive up the street and find something. It looked horrible inside and ourside so I'm actually glad I didnt stay.

Hotel was overbooked and did not honor my reservation.
