Unfortunately, my experience at Koi Resort did not meet the standards expected of the Hilton Curio brand. From the moment of arrival, the aesthetics did not align with what was advertised. The property appears outdated and in need of significant remodeling. The exterior, which should present as clean and white, instead looks discolored and worn, in some areas almost brown. There are noticeable signs of rust throughout the property. The beach situation is also disappointing. The hotel’s beach is not swimmable, something that should be clearly communicated on the website. The pool is quite small, and while there is a shuttle to a nearby beach, it is very limited—only offering an 11:00 AM departure and a supposed 4:00 PM return. In our case, pickup didn’t happen until 4:45 PM, which was frustrating and poorly managed. Another major inconvenience is the handling of towels. Beach towels are not complimentary—you’re asked to purchase one for $10, which is unreasonable. Pool towels are kept in a hidden location, and guests are told not to remove them from the pool area. This feels unnecessarily restrictive and not aligned with what guests expect when paying for a resort experience. The spa experience was underwhelming. It felt more like a back-room setup than a professional spa. There was no proper intake process, the space was very small, and overall cleanliness and presentation were not up to standard. Dining at the restaurant was also a letdown. The prices are high, yet the food is average and lacks any real connection or homage to St. Kitts cuisine. Ratings: • Location: 2/10 • Beach: 0/10 • Food: 2/10 • Customer Service: 4/10 Would I return? 0/10 Would I recommend? 0/10 Recommendations for Improvement: • Be transparent about the non-swimmable beach on the website • Invest in remodeling and property upkeep • Provide complimentary beach towels and improve accessibility to amenities • Expand and improve shuttle options to the beach • Enhance the overall spa and dining experiences I would like to recognize Cherise, who made parts of my stay more enjoyable with her pleasant, helpful, and kind demeanor—she was a highlight in an otherwise disappointing visit. Overall, this was not the experience I expected from a Hilton Curio property, and significant improvements are needed.

Nothing was there to dislike

Let me preface this by saying that this was simply a one night layover for us as we were flying to Anguilla the next morning, so this was not a vacation hotel for us The rooms are large, clean, and very modern as are the bathrooms. The bed linens were pristine, the bed was very comfortable, and all of the bathroom linens were plush and large. Our Seaview room had a very nice balcony. The staff was very nice, it was perfect for a one night layover. I do not think of this as a vacation hotel because you cannot access the beach as it is on the Atlantic side. The hotel staff shuttles guests to a beach on the Caribbean side daily. As for the exterior, it just looks tired and worn, particularly the walkway from the lobby to the restaurant and outdoors. A new paint job is needed, the pool wasn’t especially clear, and the whole exterior just needs a lot of TLC. We did enjoy a refreshing drink while on the back patio looking at the Atlantic. So yes, if you’re looking for a layover stay, and you are Hilton Honors, this would be perfect for you. I just would not recommend it as a couples retreat, family vacay, etc.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was awesome. Room was lovely. Hotel would provide free transport to the beaches on the other side of the island.

Unfortunately the hotel is on the wrong side of the island for beaches. The local beaches are tiny and full of seaweed. Sadly the hotel pool was not heated and there are no nearby restaurants.

Overall we liked the resort very much.

Well, nothing major apart from the fact that the body wash was empty from the start of oir stay. It was refilled on the 1st room service.

Staying at Koi was a pleasure. From the welcome drink to complimentary upgrade to a suite which also happened to be a corner room which meant GLORIOUS views in the bedroom with the wrap around balcony. Was here for 3 nights and highly recommend. I was here for business and not really for leisure. Be mindful as if you want beach life, this is limited at this hotel.

Great hotel, lovely and quiet, rooms were fantastic, clean and well maintained as was the rest of the hotel and grounds. We liked the quietness of the hotel but also the ability to get the free shuttle to Frigate Bay at 11am and collection back at 4pm daily. All staff were friendly and helpful but a special mention goes out to Che’rise one of the waitresses and Kimberley from reception who went above and beyond for us. We had a fabulous 3 weeks holiday.
