The property was as described. comfortable and cosy. ou will need a car or taxi as the location is a little out the way but I would recommend.

Only issue is the mini fridge in the rooms isnt really a fridge , its a chiller so its not cold enough to store any left overs

To start off the limescale in the showers were beyond fathomable,rust bleeding from the hinges,fixtures in the bathroom were broken,dirty mirror upon arrival,dirty balcony sliding door.The amount of mosquitoes in our room felt like we were in a jungle.Being advertised as a 4 star hotel,not a cash grab monopoly,i would expect bottled water in rooms for guests,and actual cutlery to stir my expired coffee with,these are from housekeeping unacceptable.Personally the service felt sluggish,as i was waiting 12 minutes plus just to ask for a bottle of water keeping in mind it wasn’t busy. The building was outdated and needed a serious upgrade, it was insufficiently lit . To end off the trip, we paid almost $50 for a buffet for two, bare in mind there was no cutlery or plates, we ate our meal from the 2 small bowls left on the very sad buffet. The front desk, and views were the only positives i could take away, they were helpful and quick. To finish it off,when we arrived me and my wife had to haul our luggage to our room ,no luggage carrier was offered,staff looking around for better days.

Stayed Dec 27th 2025-3rd Jan 2026. I hade a great stay. The location was well situated to all the activities and. The view from my room was captivating with a peaceful atmosphere and the room attendants were on point. I stayed in Room 502 and my room was always well kept and tidy. The attendant for my room was friendly and kind and did a great job. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and helpful. Overall all the staff were friendly, kind and helpful especially when I came at a time were their carnival celebrations. Giving me ideas of where to go and the activities that were planned.

We stayed at Koi Resort over Christmas as a family with children who are 5 and 7 and overall had a very pleasant, relaxing experience—especially if you’re looking for a quieter, more secluded resort at a great price point. The resort has stunning coastline views, and the pool was excellent for kids, with a wide platform around most of it that allowed them to safely walk and play. We even saw monkeys running across the pool deck or in the surrounding bushes many days. While the beach itself is very pretty, it’s on the rougher side of the island, so swimming isn’t recommended. You can still walk along the shore, and the resort does a good job keeping its stretch of beach clean. If you walk farther down beyond the property, you’ll notice plastic debris that has washed up, but this doesn’t detract from the views when you’re at the resort. The atmosphere felt very private, as the resort was never crowded, especially around the pool. At times this was wonderful—peaceful, calm, and relaxing—but it could also feel a bit quiet or eerie if you’re looking for energy or socialization. This is a great choice for travelers who want tranquility rather than hustle and bustle. Our room was excellent—spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the coastline and palms. The bathroom was particularly nice, with both a large shower and a big tub that worked well for kids. Food was okay overall. We had the continental breakfast included via Hilton Honors, which typically included toast, cereal, scrambled eggs, juice, coffee, fresh fruit, and rotating items like pancakes, oatmeal, or bread pudding. One standout was the Indian dinner at the onsite restaurant, which was a five-course meal and very good. There is no kids’ menu, so we had to get a bit creative ordering simple pasta options for our children. Unfortunately, service was somewhat inconsistent. Some staff members were warm and helpful, while others seemed stretched thin. We occasionally waited longer at the bar in the afternoons, and it felt like staffing or training might have been an issue. Housekeeping also missed replacing towels a couple of times during our stay. A few practical notes for families: - The on-site shop is very limited (sodas and a few random items), so bring essentials like sunscreen, bug spray, or medications. Otherwise you'll be driving across the island about 15-20 minutes to find stores with these. - No pool or beach toys are provided, so bring your own—we were glad we did. - Pool towels can’t be taken off property, so bring extra towels if you plan to explore other beaches. - We’d strongly recommend renting a car, as most island attractions aren’t close by. The resort does offer shuttle service if you prefer not to drive. Overall, Koi Resort is a beautiful, calm property with great views and comfortable rooms—ideal for families or couples seeking a peaceful getaway. Just plan ahead for kids’ needs, limited amenities on site, and transportation around the island.
