Hotel 24 South

The hotel is in the heart of Staunton and going out for a walk and/or dinner was a breeze (also many places close late which is greatly appreciated when you're traveling). The staff during our check in was polite and helpful even when we arrived late at night. For 15USD I have to say the breakfast was very decent, fruit was fresh and bacon was crispy; overall really worth to eat there. The room was nice and clean with views of the town. The parking situation is good since the citie's main parking lot is attached to the hotel (with elevator).

Perfect location—same block as the theater and easy walk to shops and restaurants.

It didn’t bother me, but people who don’t like dogs should be aware that dogs are welcome there. The hotel seemed full of them last weekend.

The breakfast was great. It was well worth the price and had a huge selection of food. The location was also nice.

The sheets on the bed did not fit. The bottom sheet was too small and didn't tuck in, so throughout the night the sheet moved and you were literally sleeping on the mattress. So gross. It was not a fitted sheet (with elastic) but a regular sheet that barely covered the top of the mattress, it definetly didn't go around the edges of the mattress. The pillow cases were also super small and didn't fit the pillows, so like a quarter of the pillow was hanging out. Not sanatary or clean! Also, the pool was pretty dirty and not well maintained. After we had been swimming there was gritty sand or something all over the bottom and we saw "mucus" like stuff floating in the water and immediatly got out. It could have been way nicer. I booked the hotel because of the fact they had an indoor pool. The hot tub was closed because it was broken. That was disappointing!

The location was gorgeous, the beds were very comfortable and the people at the desk were friendly and inviting.

The breakfast was not worth that much money. I’ve gotten the same stuff from a hotel that had free breakfast. The parking was not free like any other hotel I have stayed at. The bathrooms body wash and shampoo was empty.

Hotel 24 South completely exceeded our expectations and we would definitely come back again. We had 2 dogs with us and they were welcomed with treats on arrival which is a really nice touch. Room was spacious, modern and clean as was the hotel itself. Location wise you can't beat it, it's within strolling distance of all the downtown restaurants, shops and bars. Special mention to Emily at the bar who rustled us up one of the best Mojitos we have ever tasted. Bravo 24 South, keep it up, I would recommend to anyone.

The staff was very friendly. The location is perfect for downtown Staunton. The hotel is very elegant and charming.
