The Inn at Stonecliffe

The Inn at Stonecliffe exceeded my expectations. From the minute the horse drawn carriage pulled into the drive, it was clear we were arriving at someplace special. The grounds were stunning, the buildings immaculate, and the staff so friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend this magical place!

The Inn at Stonecliffe is wonderful! All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The renovated facility is stunning, with each room’s decor unique. No detail was spared. We especially enjoyed talking with George, the manager at General Store, while getting a breakfast sandwich and coffee to go. Loved our stay here!

We stayed here for our 25th anniversary, and it is the most beautiful property we have ever stayed on. It is like being in a dream when the horse-drawn carriage circles around the front lawn to the beautiful entry! Molly and her team made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Our room in the mansion was beautiful, and the view of the backyard with Mackinac bridge in the distance was stunning! This property is a long carriage ride from downtown, but Stonecliff rents bikes, so you can pedal there in about 10 minutes. It's also an easy bike ride to arch rock, Fort Mackinac, and Fort Holmes. We walked back and forth to the downtown area a couple of times, and it takes about 30-35 minutes each way, which is long, but pleasant in good weather. You don't actually need to go anywhere, however. The food options offered by Stonecliff Inn are great, and there wonderful hammocks to relax in (we actually fell asleep in them!), corn hole to play, a sunset rock just behind the property, and wellness center with fitness equipment. We didn't use the pools, but it looked like there are comfortable lounge seats there. We also enjoyed the nightly s'mores around the firepits. Thank you, Stonecliff staff, for giving us a perfect anniversary trip to remember!

We stayed four nights in the Summer House at Stonecliffe. The room was great, with great views of the Straits of Mackinac. All personnel we interacted with were very pleasant. The pools are excellent, as well as the nightly fires and s’mores. We typically have stayed downtown, but after seeing the transformation of Stonecliffe, we decided to check it out. It did not disappoint!! This place is fabulous!!

All of the upgrades to the property were great, from the color palette in my room to the pristinely managed landscape. Immaculate! Pillows were AMAZING! Staff was phenomenal...so knowledgeable, inviting and friendly! Thanks Molly and Emily! I even had a surprise comedic adventure on my carriage ride back to the property. This experience EXCEEDED any expectation that I even thought I would have. Thank you Stonecliffe staff for truly caring and taking pride in providing excellent customer service and memories that last a lifetime!

10/10 would recommend and plan to stay here again. Was just me and my husband but we do have 2 small kids and plan to bring next visit. Very wonderful how they are able to come across as luxurious quiet resort while also being open to and having resources for families.

Loved The Inn at Stonecliffe. Will definitely be going back. Very relaxing and great experience. George was so knowledgeable and helpful about the Island and all staff were super friendly and helpful.

Beautiful post-renovation property -- excellent amenities, friendly and accommodating staff, and we just loved our couple's get-away at Stonecliffe! It is far by-cart from the "downtown" of Mackinac, but great for biking and exploring the nature of the island.
