Hotel Secreto

We stayed here in December 2012 but it took us a while to write a review - Game of Thrones had just come out and I started watching the NBA ...long story. Great hotel - very good location, you can hire go-carts next door to drive around the island. Good pool area and awesome Ocean views.

I almost don’t want to leave a review, in hopes to keep this place as secret as it is, but they deserve all the praise. The staff are willing to go above and beyond to ensure your stay on the island is amazing. They really make you feel at home. The room was the most beautiful one we’ve ever stayed in. The hotel is never noisy, the drinks are well priced and delicious, and the pool/beach area is tucked away from the crowds with stunning views. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Do yourself a favor and stay here! The local spots to eat around town are all amazing.

This is a great quiet on the beach hotel. We could walk out to the beach for morning coffee or evening cocktails. If we wanted swimming it was just around the corner.Our ground floor room gave us easy access to the pool and chaise lounges. The rooftop bar was a nice touch but we found ourselves walking into town more often than going up stairs to the bar. There’s a market a few minutes walk from the hotel and all the restaurants and shopping are minutes away. The staff are very very helpful and accommodating. We cannot say enough about the front desk crew of Milly, Eunice and Aylin. We will be back !!

Perfect location. Quiet yet just a few minutes walk from restuarantes and stores. Styed in the fourth flr. ocean view. Well appointed with small frig, iron, safe, fan, nespresso, etc. Really liked the east facing covered balcony as nice to spend time enjoying the ocean breeze without the sun beating down. Great rooftop to enjoy the sunset. Security system/cameras good. Nice pool with plenty of available cabanas. Access to small uncrowded beach. However, nice lagoon around the corner which is calm. Noting not east to find even after other interviewers pointed out. Got to the end of the block after "Hotel" sign and the entrance is on your right where the street turns left. About four steps up to a single glass door, kind of looks like you are entering a spa entrance.

Hotel Secreto is a hidden gem! It is secluded, but walkable to every place we wanted to go! The hotel itself is beautiful and extremely well-maintained. The pool and private beach are incredible and the rooftop bar and sunset are amazing! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful! Special shoutouts to Aylin, EsteFi, Mili, Eunice, Angel, and Edith, who made our vacation that much better! I would definitely love to return!

Hotel Secreto is always a wonderful stay. The staff go above and beyond. Angel, Estefania, Cesar, Jose, Millie, and every person there will do whatever they can to make your stay memorable. The pool and pool deck are beautiful. The beach and beach beds are quiet and secluded, despite being steps away from the insanity of North Beach. The rooms are nicely appointed, with comfortable beds. The water pressure has never been an issue when we’ve been there (as it can be some places on Isla) and the air conditioning is ice cold. The rooftop bar is a wonderful place to watch the sunset.

Beautiful small hotel. Rooms are huge and we had a lovey comfortable sleep. Pool area is beautiful and there is access onto beach where you can ask for beds to be reserved for you. Only small hotel so you feel you have beach and pool area to yourself. Location excellent, a few minutes walk and you are on Nord Beach. No seaweed at all in March. Also, you are seconds away from bars and restaurants. Hotel is set just off road and so you don't get any noise. Would have given five stars but not much space for hanging clothes, storing clothes. For the size of room, a wardrobe and chest of drawers should be added as nothing more annoying than cramming clothes in tiny storage space. Also, whilst staff in reception were polite, they appeared a bit aloof and unfriendly. A warm hello would have gone a long way. Staff who did not work in reception were all great.

Great property with amazing views, perfect access to the best shopping and beaches. Rooms were immaculate and the rooftop bar was a great added bonus.

This is a small, beautiful hotel. We love the non-hustle and bustle feeling about it. It was calming and relaxing. The staff was wonderful. The premise was wonderful everything is clean and nice. We can’t wait to stay next year again.
