Mercure Bedford Centre Hotel

Big comfortable rooms nicely decorated in a mid-century feel. Hotel communal areas were stylish and clean and river/town views are lovely

Cleanliness detail is a bit lacking. E.g my room had a lovely view, but the space between the inner and outer window was full of cobwebs. The inner window opens easily and the windows can be cleaned.

Cleanliness and location of the hotel is excellent

Great value for money for B&B and good location in the centre of town

Nothing really but water in the room would have been nice

The beds are so comfy you'll never want to leave. The midday check out is such a bonus 👍

stayed here couple nights on recent bedford weekend hotel very central...15min walk from station or 5/6 min in cab check in was friendly and efficient hotel quite ugly from the outside but is actually quite pleasant inside room was a large double on 6th floor bed was seriously comfortable and really large bathroom nice and big too with rainbath shower (disappointing pressure though) also had shower gel/ shampoo too had breakfast as well (excellent too) but make sure you purchase day before as its £12.50 per person and £16.50 per person on the day but great choices and really good quality food hotel so central, plenty bars restaurants within 5 min walk and also right on the river bar was a little lifeless...pint of mahou £6.40...decent pint overall really enjoyed break there and would certainly return for the same price

Lifts were poor, had to get key card charged every day, check in was poor
