Radisson Blu Hotel, Lucerne

Hotel close to the station and to the lake, but with poorly signposted access for train travellers who have to use a parking ramp and footbridge. Despite booking online, check-in was slow (as it often is, for no reason). The room was reasonably spacious and quiet, but the Nespresso coffee machine didn't work and nobody fixed it.

Air conditioning!! We were in Switzerland recently for a brief visit. As temperatures were forecast to be around 30C, air conditioning was a high priority for us. Based on reviews that included mentions of aircon, we cancelled a hotel we had booked in Zurich and booked this one instead. It did not disappoint! The AC worked great and the room stayed cool all afternoon and night long. Thank you for having great, working air conditioning!

Perfect hotel to stay in Lucern as it is close to the train station. Rooms are spacious and it is one of the best option to stay there. Good breakfast, and courteous staff. Since train station and bus stop is walkable, you can cover the city places easily from here. Highly recommended.

It’s generally good, the location is easy to access, it’s just 5-6 mins walking time from train station and pier. Right next to the exhibition centre, busy parties on weekend. But the hotel area is quiet. The staffs are friendly.

Absolutely terrible housekeeping service – avoid this place. We stayed for 3 nights and not once did they clean the room properly. On the first day, we asked twice at reception just to get our towels swapped – and that was all they did. No cleaning, no trash removal, nothing. Second day, same story – had to ask again, and all they managed was swapping towels and emptying the trash bin. No bed made, no tables wiped, nothing cleaned. This is the bare minimum you'd expect from any hotel, yet somehow they failed miserably. The cleaning staff is either completely incompetent or just doesn't care. I've stayed in budget hostels that did a far better job. This hotel clearly has zero standards for cleanliness or customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had.
