Radisson Blu Hotel, Lucerne

Everything was perfect

Stayed for two nights in an absolutely lovely room - I think it was a superior double. It had a bath. Furnishings were lovely* and common areas were well maintained. Plenty of space and a huge bed. On first entering the room there was a strong odour of moth balls. The cleaning was a bit off. The shower bottles etc were dirty as was the glass door and the gap between the internal and external glass windows. *The seating along the wall was ripped in a couple of places. Worst part was the size of the duvet and towels. The duvet was too small for the bed and so if one of us moved the other person was automatically uncovered. The towels were a kind of small bath size. Both of these factors were not in keeping with the quality of the room. Despite this would definitely stay here again. Location was great close to rail station and a pleasant walk to the old town.

Great location central to everything you need in Lucerne. Room very spacious for Europe. Great shower and comfortable bed. Would definitely return and recommend

Nice easy location from station

We only stayed for one night,wish it could have been longer. Ideal location for the train station. On entering the hotel we had a lovely welcome from the male receptionist. Advising us to become Radisson members we got an upgrade room and 10%off drinks and breakfast. The room was beautiful. Toiletries were good and a great coffee/tea tray. Perfect for walking around the city and views of the mountains and lake. Will definitely try to come back. Thank you.

This hotel provided a truly exceptional experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to assist with any request. The rooms were immaculate and beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The hotel's amenities, including the gym, sauna, and dining options, were top-notch. First class in everyway.

We stayed at Radisson Blu during our trip to Lucern last April and were quite pleased. The hotel is near the railway station and the Lucern lake. We reached Lucern on a rainy day; it was also windy and chilly. Yet as a family of 3, with our daughter being 8 years old, it wasn't too difficult for us to walk to the hotel with our luggage from the railway station. So proximity to the railway station is a big positive for this hotel. The room provided to us was very spacious. It was overlooking the street in front, but it did have a view of the lake and the distant snowclad hills. The room had a good quality heating facility, comfortable beds, and all necessary amenities. Sleep quality was excellent. The quality and quantity of breakfast were adequate to get the day started on a positive note. The staff at the restaurant were very courteous. The staff at the reception were very welcoming and guided us well regarding the places to visit, and ways to commute. Their guidance ensured that we had a memorable and comfortable trip to Mt. Rigi. On a snowy day, it would have been tough if we had gone with our initial plan. Many tourist attractions like the Chappel Bridge, and Lucern Lake are near the hotel. Tourists can visit many places by walk. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around the place, so there will not be any problem finding a diner of choice. Overall, this is a great place to stay for tourists. The room tariff could be a bit expensive depending on the season, but its central location, well-appointed rooms, and proximity to tourist attractions, and the railway station, make it well worth it.
