Hampton Inn & Suites Gallup

Undergoing renovation, but it was more than decent.

Stayed last night .Was hesitant after reading all negstive reviews but ventured anyway Yes. remodel to exercise and pool areas but after being on road 14 hours didn't matter. Checking in was easy. Receptionist wss friendly and informative on restsurants open after 9pm. Romm was clean , elevator worked, breakfast was good and fresh. I tried the green chili stew avsliable absolutely delicious wish I had the receipe.- Overall grest experience the stay was exceptionall -would stsay again should the need arise

Breakfast buffet was disappointing. There were no scrambled eggs, no white bread, and very little sausage. We ate what we could as we were leaving it was being restocked. I guess the workers got a good hot breakfast!! But not these travelers! ...

Building was under renovation and was not made aware until visit. Shower didn’t work and ac was terrible

The hotel was under renovation when we arrived. The only amenity they had was breakfast. Everything else was shut down including laundry and the elevator. We (2 elderly and 1 disabled) had to carry luggage up to the 2nd floor (the only floor that wasn't under renovation)with elevators not in service. Highly disappointed in this Hampton Inn.

This hotel has a long-standing renovation underway and it’s reviews don’t reflect it. There is limited parking, no elevators, pool, gym or other amenities. The price does not reflect the current state of the hotel. It does not come close to reflecting the value of its brand.

Cross country move and this was first stop from Vegas. Hotel was under renovation but still was clean and accessible. Traveled with a Great Dane and had no issues. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed a nice breakfast before our travel as well.

I had hoped that the reviews I read about this location were exaggerated since it was the only place available for our one-night stop. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disappointment! Being a loyal Diamond Hilton member, it's surprising that this hotel has not lost its status with Hilton. Despite knowing about the ongoing renovation and the closed pool, we were disappointed to find that all public facilities were closed. The parking situation was awful, with the back part of the lot fenced off for construction. It was concerning to see an emergency exit closed due to the blocked parking lot. The entire building, both inside and out, was dirty. The room was outdated, lacked toiletries, and only had two sets of towels. The front desk staff were inattentive at check-in, making us realize it was pointless to address any concerns with them. Although breakfast was offered in the morning, the overall condition of the facility was so unpleasant that we didn't even attempt to try it. This facility is not up to the standard expected of a Hilton establishment.

This hotel was under construction with no water at time of check in, no pool available, no amenities of any kind and with several windows open on 3rd and 4th floor it was cold.

As many other reviews have noted….AVOID THIS DUMP! We were absolutely appalled at the condition of this hotel when we arrived and we still cannot believe that this is a Hilton Hampton Inn property. First of all, they do not provide any welcoming goodies that we’ve come to enjoy whenever checking into a Hilton. Their site says that it is under renovation and the pool is closed…so is the business center, many doors leading outside, the exercise room and half of the parking lot. Diamond parking was at the end of the parking lot and had a fence running through one of the slots. Everything in the building is filthy, worn, peeling, fading and just plain disgusting! I can’t believe it had been a Hampton Inn and looked like that! When we approached the receptionist to ask about conditioner, lotion, shower cap and another bar of soap, since we only got a shampoo, 1 soap bar and a make-up remover pad, she advised us that they ran out (funny…there’s an old review here that mentioned not having any of these either). Apparently it’s not important to them to restock for their guests. We expressed our dissatisfaction at the condition of the hotel and the receptionist told us, at 8 PM, “I can check you out since this is a Hampton and you can go check into a Hilton.” What? She doesn’t know that a Hampton is a Hilton?! Shocking! This is not the first time we’ve lately run into this situation at a Hilton property. AND TO THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS DUMP…please do not respond with your trite message of thanking us for our review, how it’ll be shared to improve the situation and to please return for another visit. No chance! Marriott Hotels are looking better and better! By the way, we have pictures.
