Da Vinci's Hotel Derry

Absolutely brilliant service from Joe at reception. So accommodating and made us all feel at home. Food is to die for and such a gorgeous venue. Great value from money and Joe’s attitude was informative and professional. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic hotel, comfortable room, excellent facilities and great staff.

I was unsure whether to review this hotel but decided I should. Visited Derry for 3 days with a friend for sightseeing (we are both ladies of a certain age!). When I first booked (direct with Da Vinci) I requested a twin room which has 2 double beds, however this was not available for the first night so we then decided to book the considerably more expensive option of separate rooms. I was therefore very surprised upon arrival to be given a twin room with 2 double beds, whilst my friend got a room with double bed and single bed! Whilst my friend's room was a little dated it was fine. My room was truly awful - torn carpets, damaged walls and furniture, cracked and dirty grouting in the bathroom. I immediately asked to be moved but there were no rooms available for that night. However the next morning I was moved to one of their newly refurbished bedrooms which was much much better. They also kindly sent me a lovely plate of chocolate covered strawberries and truffles. Throughout this difficulty the staff were amazing and very professional/friendly. Breakfast was adequate and as you would expect of a hotel buffet breakfast, the coffee was very good. Do note, you can ask for freshly cooked poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. So all in all the hotel performed well and Derry is an amazing place to visit.

Great staff. Handy location. Only fault was disco music at breakfast

Easter Sunday lunch buffet. Poor quality. Starters awful selection of coleslaw potato salad noodles cocktail sausages defrosted prawns etc. No labelling re food safety of any allergens. No menus given. Nothing on tables. Nothing on buffet tables. Dessert table eg had peanut almond cake. Again no labelling re food. Gateaux’s resembled those you buy in. Cheesecake not cheesecake but whipped cream on digestive biscuits. Mains. Beef had seams of fat throughout. Inedible. Gravy runny no flavour. No green veg on offer. Cauliflower cheese without a proper cheese sauce and hard as nails. Roast potatoes inedible rock hard. We will never be back. Also please check your glasses on the table. Mine had food stuck to it. I would have said something on the day but our family just wanted to get out of there. Do better!!! £185 is not tb sniffed at!!!!

A nice modern hotel with a great pub and restaurant Breakfast was good. The center of town and pub area is a decent walk or a taxi ride. Good Parking in rear.

Very clean and well maintained hotel with excellent dining

Stayed here for 3 nights rooms where tidy and clean breakfast was was ok bar food was ok also staff very friendly girl front of house was great and so friendly and always helpful staff like Eden are a great asset to this hotel she deserves credit shay will do well if get gets with her lol

Hot water tap did not work on bath, so I couldn't have a bath. Taps were not sealed down and water passed through Shower valve was hanging off Window handles did not work 3am a gentleman tried to get into the room It was clear that booking through a 3rd party the room was sub standard. Overall I rate this a 2 Star. Breakfast was very good.
