Francis Malbone House

The hotel is staffed by delightful and attentive professionals, who went out of their way to accommodate our special needs and occasion. The historic building also has a warm atmosphere, with shared spaces to relax, both inside and outside. The courtyard is tranquil. Afternoon tea and breakfast were scrumptious. Coffee could be better, but there is place down the block. Location is central and parking is a breeze. We would return.

The property was fantastic, the AC worked great, the area was quiet. The staff couldn’t have been more kind, they were great all around. I would recommend the Francis Malbone Inn every time to anyone staying in Newport.

The property is very nice, well kept and an extremely incredible staff. The breakfast is amazing and changes daily. A favorite and I haven’t seen other places do to this extent is afternoon eats. They put out a spread that is made from scratch with dips, sweets, and even had foot long hotdogs on the 4th of July. Highly recommend this place and look to stay hear every time we visit Newport.

Our stay was fantastic. I was on a trip with my mom and we spent 3 nights. Beds are very comfortable, it's clean and quaint, the breakfast was delicious, afternoon tea was so appreciated after a day of touring but, more than anything, every single member of the staff were friendly, helpful, enthusiastic and genuine. Would definitely visit again!

Everything about The Francis Malbone House was amazing. The location is in the middle of bustling Thames Street full of shops and restaurants while the Inn itself is tranquil and private. The breakfasts were amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. My husband and I hope to visit again soon.

Perfect location, very friendly staff, very clean and the addition of the courtyard (which held a wedding while we were there) was wonderful. The chef produced excellent breakfasts and afternoon teas.
