1898 Waverly Inn

Excellent B & B… return visit in historic setting. We love it! Friendly, clean and a “cut above” the rest! The owners are personally involves, staff is great and chef is awesome. Loved every minute.

I visited the Waverly Inn with my friend on a recent weekend for a “Ladies Getaway.” My room was warm and charming, with a comfortable bed, an efficient, clean, updated bathroom, and reliable internet. The Inn is steps away from shops and restaurants that line the streets of Hendersonville. Churches are close, too. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast on both mornings was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. Choose the “Special”. It was scrumptious! We happened to arrive for their holiday weekend. We enjoyed carolers on Friday evening. Saturday evening we enjoyed a festive dinner complete with a talented guitarist whose music put everyone in the Christmas spirit. The Inn is well over a hundred years old, so you will negotiate steps, but if you are looking for a comfortable, quiet night’s sleep, great breakfast and a warm welcome, this is for you.

My husband and I have an annual tradition of staying at The Waverly for our anniversary each year. It usually coincides with the Hendersonville Christmas Parade and with the inn being decorated beautifully for the holidays. Our room has been consistently immaculate and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The room is spacious enough to not feel crowded. The shower is as hot as you want it to be and all electronics in the room work as expected. You can’t beat the location. All the restaurants and shops downtown are easily walkable from The Waverly. Breakfast is delicious and the offerings are mostly locally sourced. A social hour is offered each evening with drinks and a cheese plate. The staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. As others have noted, there is no elevator, and the inn was built in 1895, so this isn’t a modernized hotel, but the bathrooms have been updated very nicely and the staff are happy to assist you with your bags if needed. We highly recommend The Waverly!

Wonderful evening in Hendersonville. The Waverly Inn porch is a perfect place to watch the Christmas parade with family and friends. Mike and the rest of the staff were lovely and accommodating. Amazing breakfast!

Everything was great! The Inn was nice, clean, and had a very friendly staff. Signed up for breakfast at 7:30 and it was on the table at 7:28.

Wonderful atmosphere…The staff is phenomenal!! The rooms were great and the complimentary breakfast is outstanding!! Would most definitely stay there again.

Staff and Owner were great. Front living room was a great place for guests to meet for happy hour or after dinner. Staff looked after our every need….

Superior service and attentiveness by Mike and all the staff. The location is incredibly convenient to downtown shopping and restaurants. The superior breakfasts and generous happy hour are well above-average. Looking forward to a return trip.

My wife and I Love The Waverly Inn. We have stayed there many times over the last 5 years. Anniversaries, Class Reunion, Christmas Parades or just a weekend getaway. Incredible Atmosphere.
