Great, boutique style little gem with charm. Will consider staying there again if I’m ever in Santa Ynes or Solvang. I say it’s a must stay if it’s your first time in those towns.

The property itself is very cute and our room was clean. We also appreciated that our room was ready before the official check-in time, and breakfast was enjoyable. The evening desserts and coffee/tea service were a nice touch, although fairly basic. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not match the price point. The receptionist at check-in was not particularly warm or welcoming, and the biggest issue was the bed. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable with noticeable dips, and I could actually feel the springs while sleeping. For a room costing around $800 per night, I expected at minimum a comfortable mattress and better overall room quality. Our room also appeared to be one of the lowest categories, with a very steep and slippery bathtub that felt inconvenient and somewhat unsafe. What was most disappointing was the response at checkout when I mentioned the mattress issue. The receptionist told me it was a “brand new mattress” and that “some people prefer it that way,” which honestly made little sense considering how uncomfortable it was. While the property has charm and some positive aspects, I would not personally stay again.

The Genevieve is one of our most favorite hotels. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Love the fireplace and patio. The bed is heavenly. Love the French music and general ambience. Having The Victor restaurant and bar right next door is a big plus.

This is luxury plus and decor is exceptional. All details are appreciated (candy jars near front desk) and the lighted globes outside by the firepits make this a romantic getaway. Rooms are cozy and the fireplace is so easy to turn on and off as is the piped in music in each room. Service is perfect and rooms are soundproofed as we have never heard anything from anywhere on any of our three visits.

5 start hotel with European elegance and casual local. As good as any Four Seasons. Room as nice as you would get anywhere. Breakfast lacking. No vibe for afternoon tea or wine. If you like fine accomodations, this is an oasis in this area.

Fantastic hotel. We only stayed 2 nights and regret not having more time. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and the bathroom was amazing. Breakfast was delicious. Each morning we had 2 options on the menu along with pastries, yogurt, a delicious granola, fruit, and berries. Wine hour offered 2 wines - a red and white. They were a different brand the 2 nights we stayed which I appreciated. Dessert hour offered 2 cupcake flavors and some fruit. Both were included with the stay which was a really great touch. They also offered bottled water at the front desk. The tasting passport is a great bonus. Our favorite locations were Rideau, Gainey which was walking distance, and Vincent vineyards. We will absolutely be back.
