Craiglynne Hotel

Loved staying in such an interesting historic building. Our room had a great view and wS very spacious. The bed was large, which we specially asked for.

Was happy with what we paid for.

Clean room, friendly and helpful staff, WiFi easy to use and good signal

The staff, and especially Aaron at reception were very friendly and helpful. The lobby, bar and dining areas were pleasant and nicely set up. Our room was clean but a little tired-looking and required electrical maintenance, including repairing the fan in the bathroom.

I booked a budget room for a 1 night stay, and was so impressed with what I got that I booked an additional 2 more nights. The single room was everything I needed and more, and exceeded my expectations for what I paid. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The staff were lovely, particularly Aaron who was friendly, helpful & accommodating. The breakfasts were great value for money, and had nice variety. The hotel had a busy buzz with lots of other tourists, I found the location a perfect base for my explorations around the highlands. I will definitely be back.

Un edificio del 1800 y pico en un ambiente bucólico. Enorme. Habitaciones muy grandes, al igual que el comedor, con buen desayuno y espacios comunes cómodos.

Necesita una reforma urgente. Está bastante dejado y sucio (manchas en las paredes, basura debajo de la cama...).

Internet was great! Easy parking. Reception staff was excellent

Breakfast was lovely. The building looks nice from outside. Easy to find.

On arrival the smell as you walk in is sickening it smells like an old nursing home. We got to the reception desk and had to wait 10 mims as two customers we stood making a complaint about their room. We tried to ho straight in for food and despite the dining room being empty with only a handful of diners they said they were full and couldnt accommodate us so despite it not saying anything on the booking, if you want to eat from their tiny basic menu you need to pre book. The parking isn't great so we had to park outside the grounds. We were given room 231 so took the lift to the 2nd floor and spent half an hour looking for our room we realised it wasn't there. We got back in the lift down to the reception and back to the first floor where all the rooms begin with 1 obviously. But there was a sign saying 231 with arrows to follow. So we followed them through a labyrinth of 8 long and 2 short corridors with steps in-between till we finally reach the far end of the building and we're faced with a large two flights of stairs. This led to a tiny landing with the door to our room it took me almost an hour to reach it from the reception desk. The room itself was a tiny loft room, mediocre cleanliness, dated furniture and shower. The mattress was absolutely appaulling. I was unable to leave the room most of the stay as the journey to the car from the room was just to far and difficult for me . The mattress massively exacerbated the physical pain of my own disability. The current labelling of rooms is far to confusing . There was a fire alarm o cut short our day so we just left. We stay in alot of hotels and enjoy camping, caravans etc so roughing it doesn't bother us at all as long as the correct comfort is there to support my disability and my distances planned so not make myself worse than what I know I can manage. So I feel extremely upset that I am having to write it hasn't been written lightly at all.
