It’s ok

Staff were friendly and accommodating, especially reception staff snd breakfast staff. Bed was comfy, my husband loved it so much. Location was good and a lovely seating area outside

Room only basis - the room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. I did not eat at the hotel, I have family who live in the town and spent all my time with them.

There was nothing I did not like

Room only - 2 night stay. The room was quite small but clean and had a good ensuite shower room. Unfortunately the bed was rather firm for my liking and i found it quite difficult to get a good nights sleep on both nights. My partner suffers with arthritis in his hips but he does bring with him a supplementary mattress but still suffered with pain on sleeping. I would suggest that the mattresses in rooms are reviewed and possibly replaced.

Just back from staying at the Craiglynne hotel and it’s the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Went on a Loch Lomond Tour Called Lunch on a steam train with friends, on arrival from the outside the hotel looked nice but what a shock we got when we’re given are room, it was dirty dark with 2blacked out windows which hide the walls out side the bathroom widow was overlooked by a room so we could be seen. We reported the room immediately and asked for a change of room as this room wasn’t fit for use The duty manager tried to find us another room but was told by his boss nothing was available after a lengthy discussion we had to stay in the room that night so the next day we asked again to be moved and the duty manager said there was a room available but again his manager told him we weren’t to be moved we explained this was a celebration weekend for my wife’s 70th birthday but they didn’t care we spent most of the weekend in the lounge UNTILL we had no other option but to go to bed . In general the hotel staff weer really nice but the higher management were to up there selves and could be bothered with trying to help so anybody going on a Loch Lomond tour to this hotel don’t bother it’s a complete waste of money

Stayed at the Craiglynne Hotel (two double rooms for 3 people), and had an extremely disappointing experience. Most concerning was the complete lack of basic hygiene items — no soap at all in one room, and an empty shampoo dispenser in the shower. We raised this with reception immediately, later when we checked if it had been resolved we were told the hotel was entirely out of soap and waiting on a delivery. We never received soap at any point during the stay. There were also broken blinds, a damaged bathroom bin, shower doors that didn’t seal, and visible cobwebs and stains, suggesting the rooms weren’t properly cleaned or maintained. I contacted the hotel several times by email afterward and never received a response. Booking.com has now taken over trying to communicate with them— but it’s clear the hotel is just ignoring the issue. I have photos and videos of everything. Would absolutely not recommend this hotel. Poor cleanliness, no basic supplies, no accountability, and no customer service.
