Chocolate Express Hotel & Suites Hershey

The hotel appears worn and tired. The room had a strong antiseptic/cleaning smell that also seemed to emanate from the HVAC unit in the room. Shower rod was coming loose and shower curtain was torn. This property is in need of a major facelift inside and out. The front desk clerk also appeared to be the one cleaning the rooms when we arrived. The room rate however was as high as a major hotel we recently used in Washington DC, so you're paying top dollar for mediocre to poor accommodations. This property is convenient to Hershey and Hershey Park.

At first glance it doesn’t look like much, but the room I had was clean and comfortable, the staff was very nice The pool was closed down at the time of staying so there’s isn’t much to say about it Everything is 10 minutes from the hotel (food, beer, Hershey park) overall it was a pretty good stay

Bring your own soap and shampoo. I did not want to use the wall dispenser for the soap at either the sink or shower. The room could stand better lighting.

The pool looks like it wasn’t clean there was dead insects on the bottom of the pool there was bugs in the room and the hot tub in the room was difficult to turn off when done had to unplug the motor to get it to stop. The breakfast was nasty looked like all they did was go to Walmart and got loads of bread and bags of bagels that didn’t look fresh the orange juice wasn’t orange juice. I wasn’t happy with the stay and the money I spent to stay there and the Air conditioner didn’t work properly. Def want a refund of this nasty place that I will not stay at again. When I wanted to tell the service they was never around to talk to them.

Very disappointed with the amount I paid - the entire stay should have been at least 1/2 of what it was. It was clean but very outdated, no amenities (soap was in a dispenser on the walls of the bathroom & in the shower). Very few electrical outlets and very inaccessible - in this day in age how can you not have multiple outlets?? Also very disappointed with no hot breakfast - ended up going out for breakfast. As I said very disappointment what I paid but not with the hotel - staff was very nice and it was very quiet considering we were there during a soccer & lacrosse tournaments. Not saying we wouldn't stay there again but I won't pay what I paid this time.

3 star hotel, walls and doors super thin, was woken up around 5 when people in hallway were leaving and again at 7ish when the room above is decided to have a dance off. The room was what it was but you could hear a pin drop from anywhere outside the room.

I would not book this again. I rather drive more miles to a nicer and cleaner place. I spent to much money and couldn't check-in until 4. Unacceptable!!

This should not be a property offered in Expedia. It was awful from check in to check out. Room was dirty- bathroom, sheets and towels. The lobby was filthy, not staffed and blocked off. Just downright awful all around.
