Surat Marriott Hotel

It was an amazing experience staying here! Special shout out to duty managers, Pooja and Dhruv, Mahipal at the front desk and Anit, at the Spice. Made my stay worthwhile! :)

There is construction going on at the hotel which makes the place messy. This is something the hotel needs to point out very clearly. This is the most expensive hotel in Surat and one pays the extra because one expects a little extra - not construction.

It was really nice

The rooms are great. The spa is exquisite with amazing treatments at reasonable prices. The food is very good too. Only real problem was that the hotel is undergoing a major restoration so it looks shabby and if you want to relax near pool area all you can hear is angle grinder and see dust everywhere. I really should have been told clearly that there would be a restoration going as we couldn't relax in the end near the pool or general areas. I'm can't leave a bad review because of this restoration work as the actual hotel areas, rooms, restaurants, spa are clean, staff are extremely friendly and it's still a good place to stay. I merely wanted to highlight this for the next residents.

It was a very good experience, staff was very helpful, humble, location was lovely, easily reachable, cleanliness was awesome. I loved my stay there.

Although our room was non-smoking, it had a weird smoking smell. The breakfast buffet and the room size was good.

Was gd,missed their patisserie section as there was work going on ,fruits and bread in bf was not very good

Great place

Overall an aged and tired property. Even though it's part of the Taj Group, they need to do some major renovations to get these rooms up to modern spec. The air felt damp and heavy, all the fixtures and fittings were run down and the overall quality was just not there. If it wasn't for the proximity to town, I would have probably stayed at the newer courtyard. On a positive note, the staff and attention was great. Note: there were some signs of renovation around the property, so hopefully in due time the place will be upgraded.
