Azulik - Adults Only

We arrived to the hotel on the 22nd December in the night. We had chosen this hotel as it’s a wellness retreat. I am an awarded Ms Wellness competition winner in Brazil and travel across the world enhancing my knowledge. I have travelled across Asia, Dubai and Europe and never encountered money being stolen from my hotel room. I was staying in room 31 on the 22nd night. On the 25th I noticed 1300 euros missing from my hand bag. I immediately reached out to the front office to file a complaint but there was no response other than how are we sure that the money is missing. After getting no response I went on the internet and got a mobile number supposedly of the owner’s representative and wrote a message on whtsapp. Funnily enough someone from the hotel replied, again saying that how do we know if the money is missing. After telling whoever had this number that you are calling your guest a liar and there has been no investigation at all. They back tracked and said someone from security will get in touch. Since my experience was ruined I got the email address of the owner’s representative and the owner as well and wrote a mail but no response. While in the hotel I was told that salaries for staff is pending for 3 months and supplies are irregular in restaurants and there has been incidents of overcharging and missing money from rooms with other guests as well. Surprisingly the rooms do not have cameras inside in order to ensure guests safety and security but should be there in the corridor. I would like to tell the owner that is this what wellness is. Ruin the vacations of your guests and doing interviews about wellbeing and not having the courtesy of even reverting or someone senior in management interacting. These things have never happened even across Asia wherever I stayed. To forewarn other guests not to book this hotel as you are never sure what will be done there. I have messages on whtsapp and the mails I have sent which show very clearly that they are hiding these issues by blaming the customers and saying its their fault.

horrible experience… door was broken and took 2:30hrs to fix; no spare room to change within 2hrs and ruined our afternoon plan

Overall vibe and food was legit. Must visit the museum even though it is a 45 min ride, its well worth it!!!!!!

Unfortunately room 14 floods really bad during thunderstorms, but 1/4 of the bed stayed dried and was able to sleep## Very expensive and have to pay your tab every time you stop by anywhere and get food or drink, rather than a charge account or tally system to reconcile @ once

Extremely unprofessional experience. I tried to book directly on their website multiple times, but every time they sent me an e-mail that the payment was declined. I even contacted the hotel via email and phone, and their staff confirmed that the payments were declined, advising me to contact my bank. Trusting their word, I booked through a third-party site instead. However, upon arrival, I was told that I had two active reservations. Despite showing them my previous correspondence where they confirmed the booking was not successful, they refused to cancel the duplicate and wouldn't offer a refund. I ended up paying for two rooms due to their system error and misleading information from their staff. Truly disappointing and unprofessional service !

Place just amazing and unique … It’s good for a short stay in Tulum , just to change atmosphere. Helpful stuff. Food and drinks are reasonably priced for the hotel .

Sewer smell…

Santos is absolutely wonderful at Kin Toh restaurant. He is the best server! I appreciated his recommendations and thoughtful attention.

I stayed at Azulik (Mayan Villa) from January 6–13 for my honeymoon, and it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. The villa we were assigned was smaller than advertised and the farthest from the lobby. When I asked for help, I was told a manager would handle it the next day. The next day, no one knew about our case, no one took responsibility, and I was sent in circles between staff members. In the end, the only solution offered was to check out. After paying over $2,500 for a honeymoon stay, the lack of professionalism, empathy, and accountability was shocking. We had to book another Airbnb just to feel comfortable and ended up checking out early. Azulik markets itself as a luxury, special destination, but the service did not reflect that at all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stress-free or special experience. Also any time you TIP the staff members, keep in mind that half of it goes to the ownership.
