Smiths At Gretna Green Hotel

Excellent location for stop on longer journey. Room Excellent,good food.

We were over for a wedding taking place nearby and this hotel was in the perfect location. We stayed across the road in one of their cottages. The staff were very friendly and helpful with both the check in and out a breeze. The cottage was perfect for us, 2 young kids, so with plenty of space for them to run/crawl around and tire themselves out it was great. Very clean and had all the amenities/facilities we needed for late night bottles and snacks that evening. Would highly recommend.

Room has been recently refurbished Good Hot Buffet Breakfast Arrived Late but staff helpful and sorted me some food

Breakfast Buffet, no "continental" selection cheese and Ham etc., if that's what you would want, plenty of pastries

Well maintained

Very good stay. Rooms are extremely well appointed and surprisingly big for a relatively big hotel. Service and food was very good indeed, and overall represented good value for money. The only issue we had was that the breakfast buffet wasn’t piping hot, and some of the seating in the main restaurant could do with a deep clean. However, these are small issues, and wouldn’t stop me from staying at Smiths again. Overall, very good stay.

We stayed for two days to attend a friend's wedding at The World's Famous Blacksmiths Shop. The evening reception held at the hotel was perfect with staff happy to deal with any requests from the guests and the food was delicious and served hot. This modern hotel was comfortable with lovely big spacious rooms, overlooking lovely views of the front of the hotel. The beautiful en-suite was immaculately clean with a powerful shower and toiletries from The Scottish Fine Soaps Company of Sea Kelp. Staff were very welcoming with a smile and attentive.

All staff were very pleasant. The room was great and the food was nice.

First time staying here and got to say what an amazing place. We stayed in one of the cottages that are well equipped and really comfy and gives you great space with separate living room, bedroom and bathroom. breakfast was first class with plenty options and nice and warm. Will definitely stay again.
