Karma Salford Hall Hotel

We stayed at Karma Salford Hall for a week, and had a great time. We took advantage of a half board deal they offered us, and had some great meals. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Wiilow and Lyuba were especially good to us.

Very nice building. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Sadly we were invited to experience the Karma experience with a view to investing in the Karma group. We were put in what can only be described as a chalet! Hardly the start of a karma experience! Day 2 invited to discuss the investment and on advising the salesman of the disappointment with the room we were advised the hotel rooms are kept for those who are already members - sadly we found out that a few of the invitees like us were in fact staying in the hotel and rooms were available! On night 2 I asked 3 times for the heating to be put on in the room - each time assured they had - they clearly had not the room remained cold! Overall not a nice experience and suffice to say we won’t be investing in the Karma experience!!

We have found every member of staff to be helpful, pleasant and friendly. Tonight we had Lyuba and Willow serve us efficiently and with grace.

Dinner at Salford Hall was great. Willow our waitress was so pleasant and efficient… and caring from the initial greeting to the goodbye.. Thank you Willow

This was our 5th time at Salford Karma hotel and still as wonderful as ever.. The staff were great, the cheese and wine evening on Friday and the singer on Saturday night were great . We love the solitude of the place and history. Even roomed next door to a randy couple who certainly weren't shy We found it hilarious whoever you were fair play to you . We are back in early December looking forward to it .

We expected better from our stay.. Given that it’s owned by the Karma chain who own many lavish places all around the world, Salford Hall was certainly not that. Room was very dated with holes in the carpet upon entry. Very uncomfortable mattress and shower was nearly glowing from the shower head. The Room was like a sauna at night and fan only moved hot air around even more. The bathroom floor had cracked tiles . Given this break was for our anniversary we felt let down and disappointed. Staff very friendly and attentive, just feel totally let down by the quality of the Hotel. Very substandard I’m afraid.

On arrival we found it unwelcoming. We were not offered help with luggage. The level of cleanliness was very poor in both bedroom and public areas. Cobwebs and dust everywhere. No atmosphere, loud music from kitchen. Property had no love. Staff members preoccupied with football not seeing to guests.

On arrival, the home is stunning visually a feast for the eyes. Our room was also beautiful on entry to it , unfortunalty we arrived on a sunday and there was a Wedding on so we had to walk through the wedding pics to get in to reception and the music was really really loud spoiling the atmosphere of the stately home . The fridge in our room didn't work. However, the beds are huge . The area is stunning, and the staff are amazing . The locals were all friendly, so I think we would return . The rooms are given a basic clean every day, but if your ocd like you will spot cobwebs and dust here and there, but as my husband said, it makes the rooms authentic of the era it was built .

From start to finish we were treated very respectfully by extremely helpful staff throughout the Hall. Our room was very comfortable, clean and a variety of amenities. We were especially impressed by the dining room and staff. White table cloths not seen very often these days and the staff were amazing especially Willow on tge evening serving and the breakfast lady. A great variety of food choices. The only downfall - in the information pack in the bedroom it stated we could buy the shampoos etc that were in the room. However forgetting to ask on our departure I emailed them to order a couple of bottles of the shampoo, to be told they have a new supplier and don't sell them any more. Quite upsetting as the shampoo was amazing!

The Karma Salford Hall is a wonderful English Heritage experience, with friendly staff and fantastic fare. A special mention to Caitlyn M, our dinner waitron and the incredible Chef, Toby. We have joined the Karma Club, and can't wait to explore more of the Jewels in the Karma Crown
