"Fabulous base for a history rich getaway"

8.0

Had a fantastic 4 nights at the resort which is a beautiful setting rich in history. Although there is not a lot around the resort there is so much to do within the local area, all within 20 minutes drive. The resort itself has a lovely pub which a lot of locals use so it had a good atmosphere, especially at the daily happy hour! Restaurant was also nice, high quality choice of meals. We stayed in 'the stables' which were roomy, rooms and hotel need a little work but as it's a heritage listed building it is what it is! Take time to explore the main hotel, it's beautiful. Staff were great, very helpful and all factors contributed to a great stay.

"Wedding anniversary celebration"

8.0

Staff- reception and waitresses very helpful and friendly. Being fractional members of Karma it was our second visit. The hall is very atmospheric and the receptionist gave us a guided tour. We were given some goodies for our wedding anniversary, which was a very nice touch.

"Full of character but needs updating. "

6.0

The room was adequate but definitely needs updating, bed was hard and carpets need replacing. We're there during the heatwave in August and the radiator in the bathroom was on and couldn't be turned off. The hotel has bags of character and history and we appreciate its a listed building but according to the staff the Karma group as had it since before covid and needs attention. The menu was very limited with only a choice of three mains, needless to say we ate out after day one, and that included breakfast too.

"A fantastic quintessentially British retreat!"

10.0

We had a fantastic time at Karma Salford Hall. The communication from the outset was great, I received a couple of emails from the team before I arrived making sure we were happy with everything. We were going for my partners birthday, so they had put out balloons, chocolate, Prosecco and a card for him, which was such a nice touch. The weather was glorious during our stay and we were able to take advantage of the happy hour in the beer garden, where they were also doing a BBQ and had live music that particular evening. We had a gorgeous dinner in the Tempest and the staff were very attentive. I had let them know in advance that I have food allergies and I never had to repeat myself the whole stay, the staff were aware of it from arrival, which gave me peace of mind. Overall, we had such a lovely stay and we went for walks at Abbey Park and we also had a great day explore Stratford on Avon. We had planned to bring our dog but she wasn’t very well, so we didn’t but our room was made up in anticipation of her joining us, so many nice touches. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip! We would definitely recommend

"Perfect wedding held here!"

10.0

We held our wedding here in July and I cannot say enough positive things about Salford Hall. Everything went exactly to plan and Ellie the wedding co-ordinator is fantastic. She went above and beyond in every single way. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and could do enough. We stayed the night before the wedding and the rooms were made available early for us to hang dresses etc. All of the arrangements we made with Ellie were carried out perfectly and the day went like a dream. Can’t wait to go back and visit for lunch or dinner.

"Most awful experience"

2.0

Do not stay at this hotel when they have a wedding going on! You can’t sit in the restaurant for a meal as the music in the marquee is extremely loud. The juke box in the lounge didn’t work. The record player in the games room didn’t work. No remote control for the TV. Dog friendly hotel it might be, but dogs were continually barking. Will be checking out early. Worse stay ever.

"Super few days"

10.0

We loved the hotel, so beautiful. Dog friendly really did mean it they could go everywhere but the formal dining room, no problem as unusually you can leave dog in room. Dog was glad of a rest with all the lovely areas we visited with her ! Room rather small and not very light however we weren't in main house. No cold water in bathroom but they gave us mineral water each day. Needs more food choices, eg can't offer a biscuit if you get a cup of tea at the bar. The curry restaurant seen online no longer operating. Plenty of places in Evesham however. Overall a lovely few days. Superb staff too. Breakfast excellent.

"Karma Experience - Embarrassment"

4.0

My wife and I were "cold called" at home and invited to a Karma Experience - A 3 night Bed and Breakfast stay in a Grade 2 listed hotel. The price for the stay was discounted on the proviso that we attended a Karma presentation for a hour during the stay. To be frank the initial sales pitch did not match the experience in any way. If this is an experience to entice a couple to spend thousands of pounds to pay for accommodation in Karma resorts, it actually did exactly the opposite. The room given was in the Hotel Annex and it was small and tired. ** Shower was missing parts of the fittings ** Lighting bulbs were not working ** Although the room was "surface" clean, it seemed to have not had a deep clean for months. ** The sink drain / plug hole was so blocked with hair that it took minutes to drain the water and the bathroom smelt fusty. Breakfast was an embarrassment on 2 of the 3 mornings ** Day 1 - We were told we did not have a breakfast allocated at all. After a brief discussion with reception staff, it turned out that the "Karma Breakfast" turned out to be a "cut down version of a continental breakfast". Very basic indeed. A full continental or cooked breakfast was charged for. ** Day 2 - 1 hour into a 2 hour breakfast. Totally cleared out. No food, coffee, bread, fruit, or juice/water. Also no clean place to sit. A Karma cheese and wine event had just 2 wines on offer - white (chardonnay), and red (riocha). The 3rd fizzy wine had been finished within 20 minutes of the start of the event. Small pieces of cheese were left. The biscuits and grapes were gone. A £25 per head BBQ evening was another very embarrassing evening. When we attempted to get a plate of food, we were initially told that only one item of meat each was available for the price we paid. There was a £30 per head option, but we were never offered that. Happy hour at the bar - No spirits are included. The grounds of the hotel consist of a large open area at the front of the hotel which has a marquee in it, a hut with a very basic Gym, and a tennis court. A small walled garden area with tables for external drinks from the bar is the rest of the grounds available. Staff at the Karma Salford Hall were very polite, but in our opinion they need some training as they did not seem to understand their roles. In fairness a formal complaint on evening 3 of our stay to highlight the shortcomings was dealt with in a satisfactory way, but in all honesty the damage was already done regarding the visit.

"An all round great stay, will be going back again. The food was excellent and very well priced."

10.0

The resort was very dog friendly and the special 3 course set menu and breakfast was not just amazing value but excellent food as well! Loved the dog bed and bowl in our dog friendly room. It’s well located between 3 counties with plenty to visit and enjoy. The GWSR is well worth an excursion.
