horrible 1000%, never ever go back and not recommend to everyone.I want to forget this hotel forever 😡😡😡 Staff horrible,rooms super dirty,only food was tasty but very poor assortment and you standing in line for 10,15 or 20 min to get your dinner. Everything was wrong....

Review of El Mouradi Hotel Positive Aspects Housekeeping, bar staff, and waiting service were excellent throughout the stay. Staff worked hard to keep areas clean and provide attentive service. Food was generally nice, with a variety of options available at each meal. Excursions outside the hotel (quad biking and boat rides) were enjoyable and offered far better value when booked independently. The nearby Mall of Sousse had excellent shopping and dining, including international chains such as Zara, KFC, and Burger King. At the marina, the funfair was lively at night and featured a beautiful waterfall, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Areas of Concern 1. Uniforms: Housekeepers wore all black, which gave a less welcoming impression. A lighter, more professional colour would improve presentation. 2. Tourist & City Tax: Three adults were charged £195.62, while other guests reported paying only £40–£70. An additional £10 was later charged, creating frustration and confusion. 3. Reception & Guest Information: No guidance on meal times, towel rental, or sunlounger rules. This lack of communication led to unnecessary problems and misunderstandings. 4. Rooms: The first room was clean but had a colony of ants and overlooked a park. The second room had a stiff door and a hedge-blocked balcony view. 5. Cash Machines: The foyer ATM only allowed 300 Dinar (£75) per withdrawal with a £2.50 fee each time. Better machines were available at the marina. 6. Dining Experience: Queues were long for popular items (pancakes, omelettes, grilled meats). Portion sizes varied depending on staff. Sweets were restricted to two pieces despite others piling plates. The dining atmosphere was chaotic due to overcrowding and queue-jumping. At the marina, some restaurant staff were reported to keep money without asking, which created discomfort. 7. Sunlounger Management: Guests had to pay for towels and reserve loungers early in the morning. Staff admitted disputes over loungers were common, leading to unpleasant confrontations. 8. On-site Spa: The manicure and pedicure service was basic; better value could be found in local salons. 9. Drinks & Entertainment: Drinks were limited (beer, cocktails, soft drinks, water rationed to one bottle per guest). Evening entertainment was repetitive: children’s shows, karaoke, and simple games. El Mouradi Palace, the sister hotel, offered far superior entertainment and bar service, making it a more relaxing experience. The nightclub at El Mouradi Palace was poorly designed — dark, enclosed, and uncomfortable. Overall Impression El Mouradi provided basic accommodation with excellent housekeeping and bar staff, but issues with transparency, organisation, and guest communication reduced the quality of the stay. Inconsistent tourist tax charges, poor management of sunloungers, limited entertainment, and problems at nearby restaurants created disappointment. Would We Return? No.

The hotel was vile ants in the rooms and showers with poor water pressure. The food was horrible bird tongue soup and fish for breakfast. When you tried to get food it was like the hunger games with everybody pushing eachother. The man who is selling jewellery was vile extremely aggressive after selling me and my family fake silver rings. The gentleman who does the spa's was brilliant went above and beyond like most of the bar staff. I wouldn't recommend booking. Shops near by was very cheap. Entertainment was awful. Drink selection was just vodka or gin.

This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, we were extremely disappointed. The food was absolutely terrible—disgusting in both taste and appearance—and the entire hotel had an unpleasant smell. The place is extremely dirty, old, and poorly maintained. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and showed no respect towards guests. We paid extra money for additional facilities such as a minibar, iron, and daily bedsheet changes, but none of these were provided. When it comes to drinks, the so-called “all-inclusive” was a joke. The only alcohol available was beer and one cocktail (Sex on the Beach). Any other cocktails were unavailable. Even bottled water was not included—we had to pay €1 per bottle. What’s advertised online is nothing like the reality. The pictures are completely misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the hotel. This stay completely ruined our holiday and left us feeling disappointed and upset. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to avoid it. It is not worth the money, time, or frustration.

Let’s start with the positives, most of the staff are friendly & helpful, especially the restaurant & barstaff who were very attentive & kind to my family, the beach is a lovely sandy beach right next to the hotel & the swimming pool area is fine, not overcrowded & no need to do the dreaded sunbed run every morning. However, other than that it’s all downhill. We arrived late at night to be put in the worst hotel rooms I’ve ever seen. The bathroom floor was flooded, towels covered in black, furniture in disrepair, and carpets (why have carpets in a beachside hotel I have no idea!!) were filthy! Hairs on the beds & stains on the sheets, blood on the wall- awful!! I CAN’T EMPATHISE HOW FILTHY & RUN DOWN THE ROOMS WERE, I personally wouldn’t even walk on the carpets barefoot, We requested a change of rooms which we got, these were marginally better. I complained to love holidays, then got offered better rooms (still not fantastic). The towels weren’t always replaced without asking, so used ones taken away but no clean replacements, toilet rolls also not topped up when needed. In my daughter’s room, some new asthma inhalers (&choc bars) went ‘missing’! The canteen was like a cattle market, really busy, and the food was not good. If you are vegetarian or have dietary needs, you will lose weight as there is nothing for you except a bit of salad & bread, soup , pizza, rice or cous cous some days. The food is very repetitive, and not of a great standard. Lunches & dinners are the same. The beach bar is ok, but again serves the same food all the time & you won’t get a seat. In both the main canteen & beach bar, there are always long queues for the popular foods like pancakes & pizza, and could wait up to 20minutes for it. You will get an invite to a ‘Gala night’, we didn’t actually go but were told this consisted of beef, soup & omelette. Alcoholic drinks were variable, some really strong, some tasted like they had no alcohol in at all. You have up pay for bottles of water, except between 10.30-11pm, when you could get 1 free bottle per room, The soft drinks were served in tiny paper cups, not much more than a mouthful. There was quite a nice gym, but this wasn’t included in the all inclusive hotel, so cost 10dinars for an hour (not much really but felt it a cheeky extra charge) There was Entertainment, games in the daytime for adults & kids & entertainment at nighttime which was not to our taste & was quite repetitive. DO NOT GO HERE EXPECTING A 4* HOTEL, IT ISN’T EVEN A 2*!!!! Staff are clearly fighting a losing battle.

Very poor hotel, wrote truthful review and was. Called to speak to management. Great I thought, customer relations lady was there and they spoke to all staff especially chef and dining room and absolutely nothing changed. Bar service dreadful. Entertainment was ok the 1 night I saw. Room basic ...good aircon but the tv was from 1950. Will not return

The rooms were dirty, shower didn’t work properly, air con didn’t work, unable to get clean towels even when we complained to reception they shouted and said we didn’t give them back we had now towels to give back. Two lady’s and one towel. Food was awful never ate there the smell from the restaurant put us off. Would never return.

Avoid at all costs Food was disgusting, restraunt wasn't clean,people fighting for plates. Curry for breakfast NO!! rooms basic unfortunately my bathroom,inside cupboard and wardrobes was infested with ants. Reported at reception to be rudly told we fix and walked away. Bar .. trying to get a drink was unreal, foreigners just pushing in and demanding drinks. Didn't see much of the entertainment team throughout the day.Night time entertainment was ok. Pools were the best part of ot and the life guards went above and beyond but there boss spoke to them like dirt. Witnessed one life guard (jaguar) save 3 kids from drowning and his boss just accused him for going a casual swim... Right on tbe beach wich is nice, close to shops ,cheap as chips to eat out thank gos as we had to eat out most days. Wanted to come home after day 2 but thankfully met a lovley family and my daughter was in her element deffo made our holiday alot better.

We booked this holiday as a family of 5. Two teenagers, two adults and my son aged 8. On arrival rooms were not ready until after 1pm. After the long awated room revealing it was devasting. The room was carpeted with cigarette burns in the carpet and stains everywhere. Very old dated furniture, and a smell like being in what I can only describe as the sewer. The stench of faeces were unbelievable. As adults we tried to brave the stained carpets in the room and also the hallways that were like something out of a murder scene, ripped, full of stains and the smell of hell. After 2 days we simply couldn't stand anymore, we were moved and after seeing 4 rooms that were the same standard we were given a room with less smell and cleaner carpet however still dated with cockroaches on the balcony. The food was simply unedible. We didn't expect English food however the food was absolutely vile and clearly catered for the Algerian families that the hotel was full of. No ice creams for the children, alcholic drinks topped up with water and given to you in a cup that dentists use to rinse your mouth out after local anesthetics. Pizzas were raw dough, and had no taste what so ever. We ate out every afternoon and every evening. As a family of 5 this obviously became expensive. The beach was absolutely stunning, however please be careful of the jelly fish. The swimming pools were neither here nor there. A baby pool for under 3s and a larger pool that you needed to be over 5'5 to stand in. Sadly not great for my 8 year old who has recently learned how to swim. Entertainment left alot to be desired it certainly wasn't impressing. The staff however you honestly couldn't ask anymore of. From the cleaners, to floor staff, desk staff they were all absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond but are clearly fighting a hard battle in a very run down, old hotel. It really is a shame! If they could cater with some simple food, and change the carpets the hotel would have been given a higher rating. I believe its around a 2 star at push from myself and family. I have seen other hotels and at the same price, please consider booking somewhere else.

I read the reviews after I booked and was slightly worried. The hotel is slightly dated but we both had a great holiday , the staff are all totally amazing and can't do enough to help you The food was good! we love trying different things ,if you're looking for burgers and chips this is not the place for you though Waiters were all brilliant and couldn't do enough to help you Pool staff put our beds out at same spot each day for us so no need to rush ( tips help ) Loved our time here and will return
