The resort is in a beautiful location, and has everything you need in the village. The remodel has improved the attractiveness and comfort of the accommodations.

You always want to love Fontana Resort, and they always disappoint. They staff the place, hotel, restaurants, every service offered to the absolute minimum, leaving no room for sick employees or those who don’t come to work. This time the big problem was Quill’s restaurant, the only option for lunch and dinner during our stay. First, there are now only inside tables in a tiny bar. All seating is outside, no matter the weather. Second, there was one employee there the whole day. Breakfast to close, he was the cook, server, cleanup, tended bar, everything. Poor kid must really need the job. And here is the real problem. The resort is so remote that you have zero other meal options. So, you’re stranded in a little village where only one of their restaurants is open, and they have a massive staffing issue due to poor management. This is not a one time deal, it’s been this way the last several visits. I stress, in such a remote location, this is real negligence to guests.

Location to event.

10/17/25 & 10/18/25. Cleanliness of the room overall very poor. Multiple safety issues. Adjoining room door does not have a lock just a chain & a chair to keep in "secure". Smoke detector not functioning and no cover. Ceiling light rusted and hanging from ceiling. Shower door not functioning properly very difficult to move to enter or exit. Bathroom light missing cover. A/C missing grill. Entry door peep hole in door stuffed with paper. Mini fridge missing shelves. Not so critical : Single bar of soap. One decaf coffee pod. I would have a hard time recommending a stay here. This is my second stay and not much has changed.

We came for the 4th of July, for one night. The staff is great, Elvis and the fireworks were awesome . The biggest problem was the room, the sink was leaking, toilet was running continuously, all of the lamps were unplugged so, had to move bed to plug them all back in, the door handle on the adjoining room door is broken, definitely not up to $200 a night standard. Also when we returned from the awesome fireworks there were 8 motorcycles parked parked in front of our room so, had to park away from our room.

everything was great, except the buffet breakfast.

Facilities are nice if they were cared for.

Very bad front desk staff and management.The food is also bad. Recipes are bad and they are prepared bad. The fireworks BBQ was garbage. A 3rd grader could do hotdogs better.
