Like so many hotels in British resorts, it suffers from having been there a long time. However the staff and location more than make up for that. From queries before check in and throughout our stay all the staff, whatever position they held, were exceptional.Beds were super comfortable. Always lot water. Food was fine. So easy to get down to the spa or into town
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Location great for getting to the town centre. The spa facilities excellent.
We have stayed here a few years ago, so booked a return visit with no doubts. However, when checking in there was no record of us paying for breakfast, so had to prove what I booked our room with breakfast included. The spa, was ok, but seems to have lost some of its appeal. ( conversation in sauna between 2 local members discussing manufacturing drugs etc) Bar service was very slow and understaffed, we returned from an event which many other guests had been. ,but only 1 guy on the bar . The breakfast experience was a big disappointment. No fresh coffee, only a machine. The breakfast buffet arrived from kitchen on a trolley, but no food was covered. We paid over £200 for our room and feel very let down, I will not return .

Great location.
Rooms available but we were not allowed access till 3 which was difficult because we had travelled a long journey and had to change to meet friends for lunch. Breakfast was not 4 star. Tinned fruit and plastic pots of jam are way below standard. Room was much too hot even with windows open. Choice of beer in bar poor
Lovely overnight stay
Very expensive fo a room for 3 adults which had a small extra bed in, not enough towels or hot drink facilities etc. for 3 adults. Took a deposit from my account which I am still waiting to be refunded 5 days on. A dated hotel, not worth £200 (not including breakfast).
Fantastic sea views and wonderful large room.
