The hotel is in a perfect location and we managed to get parking close by. Parking was £2.50 for 2 days so considered that a good deal. The hotel is a little tired but comfortable and the pool was lovely. The ice room was amazing but a little disappointed the sauna was closed on the day we went.

A very pleasant experience. We would recommend staying at the Crown Spa Hotel.

I liked the Spa & Gym, the jewel in the crown, ruined by being told that we get towels provided, but not of the same size as those in the rooms (they weren't huge). 1 of 2 lifts were out of order over our 4 night stay.. With a 4 star hotel we expected air conditioning in the rooms, but none. There was air con in the restaurant, so out of the furnace into the very cold dinning room! The room was adequate, not 4 star special. We requested and certainly paid for a sea view room, which was ruined because the outside of the window was filthy ( it could easily have be cleaned safely from inside the room. Poor management. 2nd day breakfast I was appalled that we were sat at a table eating our breakfast but were surrounded by tables that hadn't been cleared. Made worse because on the other side of the room there was a waitress laying up tables where no one else was about. I was getting coffee from the machine when a women guest said to me " I wouldn't do that the coffee is bloody awful from those machines" I tried it she was right, I drank water for the rest of my stay Poor management, no management, 4 star hotel, you must be joking. We had dinner the 1st night, chicken supreme, was lumps of dry chicken pieces dumped on a vegetable risotto (I expected the risotto) but no finesse. We eat elsewhere after that. Very disappointing I paid 4 star price at over £200 per night, worth £50 at best.

Hotel very good, great location, friendly staff, good breakfast. Hotel bar under stocked, advertised cocktails but had very few ingredients. Limited gins and drinks in general. I would stay here again.

Pool is very small and tv didnt work, carpet was stained, soft spot in bathroom floor and dirty windows

Staff are very friendly but the hotel was a disappointment for a 4 star "luxury" hotel. Desperately in need of decoration inside and out but also needs the garden and outside seating areas tidying at the very least. Both lifts not working which wasn't a problem for us but lots of guests were struggling with the stairs. The duvet cover in our room would have been relegated to a dustsheet at home. We didnt spend much time in our room as staying overnight for a concert but because of this paid an eye watering amount for very below par room. Despite being shabby the room was clean.

We were in room 302 which has a sea view and was very clean and well presented. My only comment on the room is it was very warm, it felt like the heating was on, even though the outside weather was 20 degrees and overcast. I was also a bit surprised at the additional £50 I was asked to pay on check in (????), although this is refunded when you check out. The staff are very nice and the hotel very good and I would recommend a stay here. The hotel is very high up and there are a lot of steps to climb if the tramway isn't working from the beach to the top of the hill. Overall I was very pleased with our stay at the Crown Spa Hotel and would certainly revisit.
