Hotel Porto Azzurro

This hotel is at the beginning of the peninsula, so you have to walk pretty far to get to the castle and old town. There is a bus that makes a loop and stops every 20 minutes, but while we were standing at the bus stop, the bus just passed us by two times! So we stood in the heat for 50 minutes when we could have already have been there if we walked, which we finally did. We asked the lady at the front desk why the bus didn’t stop two times, but she didn’t know. Breakfast was good. One of the girls, Sophia, is an exceptionally hard worker. She kept the breakfast area clean and everything well stocked. She was also friendly and professional.

Perfectly located in a quiet area. Just a short walk to shops and attractions. Shuttle bus right outside the hotel, to Sirmione. Great outdoor area with a lovely pool. Enough sun loungers for everyone and no fighting for space. a big plus was the basement garage under the hotel. very friendly and welcoming staff. good food and good drinks from the bar. Great rooms with nice balconies. maybe a little hard beds, but that was the only thing we could find fault with. We would love to come back and can highly recommend the place.

Nice staff at restaurant and the welcome and the cleaning lady. Nice pool! We like that we could take bikes and enjoy the surroundings. The kids liked the breakfast

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything exceeded our expectations. The cleanliness was top-notch — every area, from the lobby to the room, was spotless and well-maintained. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options to suit everyone’s taste, and everything was fresh and well-prepared! The pool was another highlight: clean, not overly crowded, and refreshingly cool, especially on the day we stayed which was extremely hot. It was the perfect way to unwind! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. They truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. This hotel truly offers comfort and care in every detail. We would absolutely stay here again!

We drove our car from Uk visiting Europe first stop Strasbourg. Then arrive in Lake Garda some where I’ve always wanted to visit . Arrived at Hotel late . Underground parking was brilliant . Only downside trolleys for luggage very small and lift takes you down to garage but then there’s steps so you can’t take trolly to car ? . A ramp would be helpful . The room was lovely over looking side of building greenery and trees .Balcony could do with looking at as wall crumbling .The room was very clean and room staff friendly . The pool was wonderful plenty of seating around it and bar just inside for drinks ice creams snacks . Met lots if lovely people from different countries . Shuttle bus is outside and easy to get into other areas . We visited the thermal spa for a day worth a visit . Dinner we had outside so many restaurants near by . And breakfast in hotel was good . We will be back

A fantastic find. My first impressions were worrisome as there seemed a lot of adults in the hotel and I was travelling with my 5 year old. Yet we had a fantastic stay. The room was amazing (book a family room and we got two balconies and a dividing door for our boy so we could have a bit of adult time when he went to bed). The room was lovely and had a fridge and two TVs in it. It was so clean and the cleaning staff were so friendly. The staff at the hotel were amazing, so warm and friendly with my son. They always made a fuss of him, he was like a little celebrity! The pool area is so clean and the pool is refreshing and lovely with great Italian sun loungers. It is on the outskirts of the old town which we were thrilled about as Sirmione can be incredibly busy. There is a local bus for £2.50 directly outside the hotel which comes every 20 mins and goes directly to Sirmione. Within walking distance there is the lake, a fantastic beach bar, a park, great restaurants (try Bolle) and even the hotel’s own restaurant is great. Breakfast was also very well catered for and especially as they must see a diverse range of nationalities. Thank you for making our holiday so enjoyable!
