"A Birthday to remember!"

10.0

We stayed in the Clifton Suite for our stay on the 12th of May and from the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles and professionalism. The hotel is located in the most gorgeous of settings with woodland and peace and quiet. Afternoon tea was quite outstanding, the rooms decoration was beautiful with great views, the Welsh rarebit must be the best I've ever tasted and the champagne rather lovely. We had visit to the spa which was peaceful and well laid out before our dinner date which was quite exceptional! Complements to all the staff, particularly Ian who brought warmth and ease to our arrival. The rooms were spotless and bright, we sat in the lounge for a while after dinner which was quiet and welcoming. We would highly recommend a stay here if you want to get away from it all.

"A birthday treat."

10.0

The staff were amazing, the check in was quick and easy, Ian made the experience smooth and delightful. Afternoon tea fantastic! The Clifton Suite was exceptionally clean, today and a great place to relax. The evening dinner was quite mind blowing, we had the sea bass and the chicken which were by far some of the best food we have ever tasted.

"Nice, comfortable relaxing hotel but not ideal location for visiting Windsor"

8.0

There was a lovely smell upon entering the hotel which I presume came from the spa. There was plenty of available parking spaces and the bed was comfortable. Quite a good choice at the buffet style breakfast. Nice to have the choice of uncut bread.

The setting on the toaster was a little high which resulted in my husbands toast being a bit overdone both mornings and the orange juice seemed like it had been watered down. The hotel itself was in a nice peaceful location, but access into Windsor had no real option other than to drive and parking in Windsor is pretty expensive. Neither of these are the fault of the hotel, but it doesn’t make this location ideal if visiting Windsor is the main purpose for your visit.

"Relaxing and enjoyable stay in a lovely place amongst lovely woodland."

9.0

Lovely period property . Parking good , great that there was an electric charger installed. Staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast had a great choice of food both continental and cooked. Room was ok but lacked the character of the downstairs rooms. Bottled water replaced each day .

Road leading to the property is very narrow and has many potholes. Room was on the small side but ok for our needs. The socket for heated towel rail was loose and had a gap all the way round that needed to have silicone so seal it. The immediate view from the bedroom window overlooked a roof on a room below but could see the horses and fields in the local farm beyond that. The tea tray had a basic choice, no hot chocolate for none tea/coffee drinker but did get a bottle of water instead.
