hotel very conveniently located close to center of town. great for arriving and getting trip organized.

Nice place with cool literary atmosphere, although Hemmingway never stayed there. Good breakfast and all day coffee, nice courtyard. Close to museums and shopping. Friendly front desk. Not a great neighborhood but good as it gets in San Jose. I would stay here again.

There is not so much to do in San Jose for the average tourist. One day is probably enough to get a taste of the city. I think the rest of the country has much more to offer for most.

I booked 6 nights when travel to costa rica. I m so glad I made a right choice. The hotel location is perfect. In center of the town. The staff are very friendly. Helpful. Every day helped me to contact my tour company to confirm. I have recommended this place to my friends. And I will be back hopefully soon! Love it!

The hotel is just ok if you book it under thirty five dollars. No towels in the room , I think they forgot to keep them. Paper thin walls. You can hear the smallest pin drop in the room and you can hear people talk at the reception and at the breakfast early in the morning , in your room for them to wake you up. It's not on a busy street , though close by to the main attractions. It's only ok if there is no other choice. Wifi works ok

Super cute little place! The taxi driver did warn us not to go out alone late at night but there were no problems we could see during our stay.

Everything was fine with the hotel. The problem it's with hotels.com don't have accurate information about the hotel. They don't accept credit card, and the room offered was different

It is definitely a good place to stay for a night toward the end of your trip. The staff is awesome. It is only 10 mins away from San Jose Centre, so you can do your minute shopping. it is 5 minutes from one of the national parks. Everything in walking distance. It is not a fancy place. I believe there are still remodeling it. Great people! I would definitely return if I am in Costa Rica. Additionally, the owner is bilingual in English/Spanish, which was very helpful.
