The Reef at Atlantis

I would have to rate this vacation has one of my best. We stayed in the Reef Tower. The rooms, the atmosphere, the amenities and services were among the best that I have experienced. We were there during Spring Break so it got a little noisy at times. We are already planning our next trip.

No hot water pre dinner or when you would want it. When addressed with manager he confirmed it’s a design issue the building can not accommodate a full residency and provide hot water. Paying a premium for a suite without hot water is insane. Save your money and look elsewhere. Staff isn’t friendly and generally in a bad mood. Decor and technology are stuck in the 90s. Have to carry a room key or credit card all day instead of a rfid wrist band.

If you like long lines, tepid showers, competition for beach chairs, and the need to make reservations for dining weeks in advance, you will love your stay.

We had a few issues with the harbor view suite at the Reef. Our first room had a sewage smell and the second room we were moved to had issues with the kitchenette and bathroom sinks. Also, only 1 hook in a big bathroom doesn’t make any sense. The Reef area is much windier than the rest of the resort (I don’t know if it’s only this time of year or always) so we didn’t really get to enjoy pool and beach. On the plus side, my kids did the sea lions activity at Dolphin Cay and that was so great! The staff working with the sea lions were awesome.

Overpopulated for dinner but apparently enough hotel rooms. I felt like I was in a camp. Not even close to a 5-star resort. I would say 3 being honest.

We went April 2026, way too crowded. So many slides closed down forcing astronomical waits for slides. They let in so many locals and cruise ships that it completely ruins the exeperience. Beach chairs and pool chairs completely gone and “reserved” with flip flops by 8am. It’s crazy. Staff does nothing. We lost water in our room multiple times, was eventually fixed but when you are trying to get ready for dinner losing water from 4pm-8pm kind of puts a damper on cleaning up from a day outside. It’s a nice resort but the staff are overworked, shows a lot of signs of wear, and super frustrating

I recently stayed at Atlantis and overall found the experience to be just okay. The property itself is impressive and has a lot to offer, but there were a few things that took away from the stay. One of the main issues was the lack of convenient coffee options. For a resort of this size, I expected more accessible places to grab a quick coffee, especially in the mornings. Another downside was the transportation situation. Several cab drivers seemed to take advantage of guests by overcharging or being unclear about fares, which made getting around more frustrating than it should be. While the resort has potential and some great features, these issues made the experience feel less polished than expected.

Beautiful island, very nice pools and water park. Customer service was very underwhelming and lacked hospitality. Food was really expensive.
