"Won’t be back"

4.0

This was our first time at the Atlantis with our family of four, as well as another family of four. We were really excited about many of the opportunities to explore here. We ought to stay in a two bedroom suite, so that we could have a kitchen. One of our family members has Celiac Disease, so that was important. The accommodations are fine and size, but highly lacking and quality. They are tired! It definitely did not match the price we paid. First, I will review the food. We have yet to have a good meal and we have been here for four days. The food quality is poor. The celiac family member has not been able to eat yet. He was told at one restaurant, the only thing they had gluten-free was bread! Luckily, we brought plenty of meals for him. None of the service members have been accommodating at all with the allergy. We also tried room service. It takes an hour plus to get your food, which we find unacceptable. It seems to me they have a problem with crowd control and cruise ships. I can’t say for sure, but it seems that the day passes they allot for cruise passengers is causing a strain on the amenities. The pool was out of towels, there are no chairs, etc, food lines are long too. The reef and the Cove hotels seem much less crowded than the rest of the resort. The service has been abysmal. Broken toilet in the room, leak in the room, asked for a blanket that never came, messed up reservations for activities, unable to find food at times because even room service is an hour and a half, long weight lines on the elevators because half the elevators aren’t working., I could literally go on.They don’t seem to care! They just refund your money and it doesn’t matter that your experience was ruined. We have stayed in similar accommodations at nicer hotels in Turks and Caicos, and it is way more worth the money! I would look there instead of here if considering both. We won’t be coming back here!

"The Reef Review"

10.0

We were very pleased with our stay at the Reef. Our family of four was looking for the option to have a kitchen in our room and the room we stayed in was perfect. The room was very spacious and the views of the beach and harbor were spectacular. There is an onsite sundry that had what we were looking for. The only drawbacks for the Reef is it was a fairly long walk to Aquaventure and there are no in-hotel bars or restaurants. That said, those issues were outweighed by the value we received in staying at the Reef.

"Very Expensive Resort for subpar experience"

2.0

Very expensive resort for subpar hotel (The Reef) and restaurants! Their prices reflect a high-end resort but we did it find that to be the case, especially the restaurants. Servers don’t have an incentive to go above and beyond since they automatically get a 15% gratuity added to everything (even when you serve yourself a muffin and coffee in the hotel lobby). Most of the chairs at the beach had sunshades that were broken and need to be replaced. Bathroom at Cascades Pool was not very clean. Showers to wash the sand off yourself and your feet had clogged drains or didn’t function at all. Lots of little things like this makes a huge difference in giving your guests a high-end resort experience! Could be so much better with some updates and more attention to details.

"One and done."

6.0

We stayed at Atlantis Reef and overall had a nice vacation. Checking in was a breeze. The room was a little dated but very nice and comfortable. The staff throughout the resort were welcoming and friendly. The ocean and beach views were beautiful, but unfortunately the beach itself was quite dirty during our stay. The pools were also colder than expected and didn’t seem very clean, in fact they closed pools because of it, which was disappointing. Another frustration was the restaurant reservations. We wish we had known they needed to be made weeks in advance, because it was extremely difficult to get into many of the places we wanted to eat. While we did enjoy our trip overall, these issues made the experience fall short, and it’s probably not somewhere we would return to.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Housekeeping staff and front desk staff were very friendly and did a good job. Beach and pool convenient and clean. Shuttle bus drivers were great. Servers at the beach and pool for drinks were good. Loved the water park rapid river and the aquarium.

People leaving their towels on beach and pool chairs when they were not returning. Courtyard music by pool was loud all night and could hear it in the room when trying to sleep. We notified staff twice and it was never lowered or turned off the entire night. Took a long time to find the lockers at the water park. Directions and signs were not helpful.

"4th time - family of 5 love the atlantis Reef!"

10.0

Our 4th time here, we stay in the reef every time as a family of 4 and 5. Great to have the kitchen, laundry option and more space than a normal hotel room. It keeps us coming back because it's so easy to fly from Boston and we know what to expect. I do wish there were more grab and go casual dining options outside of Shake Shack. Despite people complaining about cost of Atlantis, we looked at a TON of resorts and this was still more reasonable with the option to have 5 people (with the baby) in the room vs booking 2. It's a tried and true experience for us. Their groundskeeping, fish exhibits and overall resort is unmatched. They are doing a ton of new projects and upgrades to stay relevant, which I think is smart.

Great time with our family. Kids crushed the water slides & pools, while we (mom & dad) partook in those adventures and got some chill pool time.

"Family Spring Break"

10.0

The room was nice and matched descriptions with a great view. Nobu was a disappointment and the service was the worst out of all the end resutaurants. Carmine's had the best value. Our top choice would be Jose' Fish which was expensive but very good and great service.
