Atlantis is definitely showing it's age. Most Women's bathrooms had stalls that had lock and/ or doors broken. More than half the beach chairs' sun protectors were broken-- there are plenty of chairs, but generally you had to drag/ swap out chairs to get working sun protectors and there isn't a lot of staff to help you. The buffet wasn't worth the money-- ours was included in our price, so it was fine, but often food was cold and there were long lines especially to get fresh made omelets. All of the specialty restaurants were amazing- Nobu, Paranza, Fish, Cafe Martinique-- all fabulous food and service. Shake Shack is a fun treat especially with the aquarium in the background. The water park was fun, but everyday had multiple slides that were closed, but then would be opened the next day. The Dig- the aquarium - was very cool. All of the marine life was fun to explore and adds to the ambiance. We stayed at The Reef, and the room was very nice and a great location. All the pools were nice and the beaches were better than expected. It's a mega resort, so it's huge- be prepared to walk and take wrong turns. There aren't straight paths and it can get confusing until you work out the easiest way to get somewhere. Entertainment is lacking, the casino is an ok size for the resort and there is only 1 dance club. Overall, it's great for families and still a place worth going to, I just hope that they do some necessary repairs and upgrades.

"Always a Good Time, Unsure If It’s Always Worth It"

Lovely in general but there’s always something that seems to be amiss and needing to be requested for to make it spectacular

"Lovely place, awesome aquaventure, but room had issues."

6.0

We chose the Reef because it had a refrigerator as my hubby needs to keep medicine cold. However, no where was it disclosed that the Reef units are owned by individuals while the building is maintained by the Atlantis staff. The outside temperature in February, for the start of our trip was around 65 degrees. The entire Reef building has no heat, so our room was at 67 degrees and stayed at that temperature for 3 days. Luckily it warmed up outside, and we could let in the warm air from outside to warm up the room. However there is an exhaust fan in the main bathroom that couldn't be shut off, so it would pull out the warm air, and when we returned to the room it would be cold again. The unit we were in also had hot water issues. Maintenance came quickly to "fix" so we did have hot water - eventually - but each and every day we had to let the water run about 15 minutes before it would get warm. Other than those issues, it was a large lovely suite and the kitchen had everything you needed. The maid staff was excellent!! Service at the pool was good and the Aqua park was top notch, from enough chairs and towels, to locker, to clean facilities. Everything was well maintained.

"Great beach and pool experience"

8.0

The main draw is the beach and water parks/pool. Food prices are nuts, water tasted off and to buy a small bottle of water is around $5 USD, it's more costly than petrol! We were glad the Reef has a kitchenette, we were able to bring a lot of food from home and were able to boil water which improved the taste, so we didn't need to buy their overpriced water. There was enough to keep us busy for the week and kids having fun, the beach and pool are where our memories lie and we will cherish those. We walked to the mainland, and it was quite sad of how the state of things are on Nassau, buildings abandoned and in ruins, no real shopping or great places to eat. We walked up to the local grocery store, it was a bit of a sketchy walk.
