everything - very good food, nice view, everybody was always very helpful

We so wanted to love this place and first impressions were great. We had booked a sea view bungalow and the room was really clean with a lovely patio, sun loungers and an outside sofa and table. The location and architecture of the hotel is beautiful with lots of different terraces and comfortable seating with stunning views. Unfortunately we learned on the first day that our toilet whilst it flushed did not clear and we reported it to reception as well as the incredibly loud air conditioning. Nothing was done about it. We ended up having to solve the issue ourselves and use the hand shower to fill up the toilet to clear the toilet on every occasion of using it. Not what you would want to be doing in what is meant to be a five star hotel. The next great disappointment is the food and service. With the exception of Jimmy in the main restaurant, most of the others seem more concerned about clearing plates than topping up your coffee cup. The food is lukewarm and as the plates are not heated it is cold by the time you go back to your table. The chicken is cooked to leather and it is all just a variation on the same theme. We ended up eating out most nights as we couldn’t face dinner. The Thalasa restaurant is better but very limited in choice. The only decent meal we had was in Il Cuchina, their à la carte restaurant, on the first week. Unfortunately our second visit was a disappointment as the bread rolls were hard and stale and the service was poor. I cannot understand why everyone raves about George the restaurant manager. We didn’t find him friendly or professional and one night he was shouting at everyone in the queue to find out how many seats were needed and trying to get them to go to the other restaurant as clearly they could not cope in the main restaurant. Strange as many tables not cleared so this could have been alleviated with more staff keeping on top of things. Shouting at your staff so that customers can hear as you loudly direct them does not make you professional and the dinner experience is like being in a canteen. The cleaners are the stand out heroes in this place and did such a lovely job on our room. Always smiling and friendly - Maria I think was the lady who did our room. I really hope they take note of my comments as the hotel is so beautiful and with better food and service as well as a functioning toilet, this could be a 5 star hotel.

We truly had an amazing holiday from start to finish even if the weather wasnt the best some of the days but we made the most from it. All your staff are fantastic from reception and the lovely hardworking girl in the pool bar at the Suites and our cleaner. The bar staff and particular the waiting staff in the evenings. The food at Cucina was beautiful only fault is the portions were too big.. not a fault for some. One issue is the food could be warmer in the buffet but it didn't go unnoticed how it was constantly replenished to ensure it does stays warm. A special thank you and appreciation for helping Mark my sons 18th birthday and for my surprise cake left for my birthday on Friday. Above and beyond and I will highly be recommending Dimitra to my friends and family. A shout out to George of course and how he took the time and effort he gave our young son Cole and remembering his name with a high five and fist pump at every encounter. We are home now to wet cold Ireland wishing we were still there.

First of all we would like to express our many thanks to all the staff and in particular to Georgios the Service Manager who went above and beyond the great service we received. The dining room staff in the main and Greek restaurant were very professional and courteous and could not be more helpful. If we go back to Kos we would definitely book this hotel. Lovely hotel with stunning views. Food was great with lots of choice. We eat at both restaurants and the Italian which you need to reserve all of which were excellent. The service of the staff is first class, always smiling, welcoming and eager to help. Unfair to call out individuals as all staff were great but Tania at the pool bar bringing us drinks with a smile and Peppa our room cleaner (Room 204) always chatty, smiling and flexible attending to our room. The beach is pebbles which we knew before arriving but hotel had white bags acting as stepping stones making it easier to access or you could use beach shoes as many guests did. Thank you for a memorable holiday.

My Partner & I went to this Hotel Oct 2024. We arrived late & were supplied with a snack & welcome drinks. We were given an amazing upgraded room, 2 double rooms with 2 ensuite, near the pool. There was a variety of drinks that were stocked up daily in the room Loved the hotel decor, the site, which had amazing views, lots of swiming pools, loungers & comfy beds near the beach which wasn't large, but we had plenty of other areas on site to chillax. There were 2 superb restaurants on site too. Breakfast & evening meals were amazing with plenty of choice & dining areas. Entertainment was also supplied. A bus stop was just outside if you want to visit the Island. We are going next week & will celebrate my 60. Simon & Deborah x😊

We stayed for a week and booked with TUI from the UK. Hotel site says 5 star but TUI class it as a 4 star I think this is more the mark. TUI coach transfer there took 1 hour we dropped off at 8 other hotels first. Return took 1.5 hours and coach had German and English holiday makers on our coach. Which I thought was odd! Wished we had booked a taxi! Hotel on arrival reception staff are friendly it was late evening when we arrived. What I would say is no one told us how to use safe you have to get a staff member to set it up for you could of been done in our arrival? Room was fine. Not the best we ever stayed in but good enough. We were in a bungalow with seaview. Not keen on the glass walls for shower and toilet do I really want to hear someone using the loo! 🙈 As it's not soundproof at all. Pools are lovely and sunbeds are the best we have used for sure. Pool bar staff were good especially Tania who seemed like the only one doing anything! Food buffet was never hot just warm. Staff don't clear tables or set tables quickly enough at times. But George who seemed to be in charge of the main restaurant was very good at directing staff. We stayed all inclusive and saw people on half board had small bottles of soda ours were always flat in a glass! Also lunch time by the pool restaurant all inclusive you used paper plates wooden cutlery but people on half board paying got China plates and proper cutlery! We had a good week away and feel the hotel could be so much better with a little more thought. Trying to get a drink in the evening at the main bar/ entertainment area wasn't good. Staff may bring you one drink if your lucky or tip well. Staff in general are friendly.

A lovely hotel with great views and excellent staff. Spotlessly clean from public areas to rooms with excellent housekeepers. Food the usual All Inclusive choices, if being picky could have been and my husband says better sausages at breakfast not Spam shaped as sausages!! Alex and his team on the main bar work very hard always pleasant and efficient. Christina on the pool bar excellent. The Greek restaurant very good. Italian restaurant excellent.

We stayed for an extremely relaxing week at the Dimitra Beach. The hotel itself is very nice but what makes it extra special is the friendly staff, they are lovely. I've never stayed anywhere where the reception staff are so welcoming and helpful, and that applies to everyone. The food is delicious and there's enough choice to suit everyone. The sunbeds are the most comfortable I've used. The management can be very proud of their hotel and wonderful staff.
