Veranda High Resort was spectacular. The grounds were just so beautiful and incredibly peaceful. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful and relaxing time in the comfortable and stylish room and the amazing infinity pool. The staff was professional and courteous. On our last day, we decided to visit the spa and were not disappointed. The spa staff were great! It was an amazingly relaxing experience. The food at both of the restaurants was also fantastic. We will definitely be back one day!

They insisted we park at the bottom of the drive and take the golf-cart up to the reception (about a 45-60 second ride). But then at check-out there were plenty of airport vans and cars parked at the top of the short road next to the reception. At check-in they gave to me the Internet login and an incorrect password (since the password is your last name, it was obvious the password they gave to me was from the previous customer with a Chinese last name). I questioned the password but the receptionist was adamant the password was correct. The room felt like a concrete prison cell. Whoever designed the rooms should return to design school. The only nice feature was the view from the pool (of the nearby mountains and the white temple on the mountain - although you can also see the road in front of the hotel, the carved-out mountain where there must be a quarry, and some ugly buildings along the road.

This place surpasses the pictures. The setting is amazing and the grounds of the hotel could not be any more relaxing. The whole vibe is zen and feng shui. The only downside is that it is far away from anything and the prices on the hotel grounds are more than what we would pay back home in the US. If you're on a budget, don't plan on getting a Thai massage here. You may even want to plan to eat elsewhere, although the kao soi dinner was fantastic. The free breakfast was abundant and delicious.

Stayed at the jacuzzi pavilion and it was worth it!

My husband & I were at the Veranda for our wedding anniversary and had always wanted to visit Chaing Mai. Unless you want to stay nearer the town & night markets then this is perfect. The shuttle goes 3 times a day to the town but it is so lovely coming back to the hills. When the staff found out it was our anniversary they decorated our bed & made us a cake. I would thoroughly recommend The Veranda Hotel.

Lovely hotel with great views. Staff were all really friendly. Shuttle service to the city centre was really useful. Limited sunbeds around the pool but it's a small issue really?!
