Great location,very friendly staff and a worth while happy hour

We have been coming here for over 12 years to celebrate our anniversary. New owners were taking over when we left last year. When we returned this year there were many physical improvements like new windows, painting,etc. Those were great to see. What was not great to see was the elimination of the buffet style breakfast that we had come to enjoy all these years. Breakfast now feels like a restaurant instead of a meeting place. The buffet style helped the guests interact with each other. Hope it comes back. Also we used to get a small bottle of champagne in our room and a card welcoming us back and wishing us a happy anniversary. Not this year. We understand new owners always make changes but there a couple we could have done without.

We've been staying at EPL for 24 years and you just can't beat the location, the accommodations, and the amazing staff and service. Elizabeth Pointe Lodge is our "Happy Place" and we won't ever stay anywhere else. Don't miss this jewel when you stay on Amelia Island!

The hotel had been recently renovated and it showed. The room was beautiful with new windows and screens and bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable. The dining room was beautiful. The breakfast service in the dining room and porch was excellent. All of the employees were helpful and pleasant all the time. I have to admit that we took full advantage of the fresh baked cookies and brownies that were always available in the lobby. The coffee was also great.

The communication from EPL was exceptional, even before our arrival. Each staff member we encountered while there was friendly and attentive. The room was spectacular and the entire grounds were well-kept.

We loved the view, the cleanliness of the property and room, and the extras! The wine on arrival with a snack plate was such a fun touch as well as the included made to order breakfast!

Very nice b&b type property. Great location . Old beachfront charm with ocean views. Seemed a bit pricy and needed a few updates but excellent location.

We're a retired couple living in Central Florida. We wanted a quiet 3 day beach getaway within about a 3 hour drive of our home. I had visited Amelia Island years ago when my children were young so researched options in Amelia/Fernandina Beach. We decided on the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge based on the location/description/and other reviews and are glad we did. The location is outstanding -- right on a lovely stretch of beach just south of Fernandina Main Beach. The Lodge puts out lounge chairs with umbrellas and provides beach towels. We enjoyed the daily cooked to order breakfast and the afternoon "happy hour" (beer, wine and soft drinks along with small snacks). Customer service was great -- all staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Breezes Suite in the Ocean House and it was comfortable. The new owners haven't owned the Lodge for long and it's obvious that they are still catching up with deferred maintenance --- paint, etc. I'd suggest updating the bathrooms in the Ocean House suites --- ditch the spa tub and put in a modern walk in shower and sink/vanity. Also the lighting in Breezes wasn't great -- comfortable couch but no lighting for evening reading. But all in all we loved the Lodge and will most likely return. A quiet, peaceful, adults focused getaway spot.

I almost hate for the word to get out, but this place is over the top exceptional. Our stay in the Tradewinds room was good on several levels including fantastic beach views and wonderful accommodations. Room prices included amazing made to order breakfast, parking, and use of beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas. I feel like a genius for picking this place to spend a long weekend with my spouse, and so hope to return soon.
