Hotel Riviera

this hotel is a in a great location inside the walls; it's a little hard to find as yoi have to walk to it from a parking spot; great air conditioning. very clean. the staff is great. it's a little rundown; especially the hallways; but good for the price. i would stay here again.

The hotel is located right in the center of town, with easy access to all attractions. HOWEVER nowhere on the page did we find the fact that the street is not accessible to vehicles so you need to drag your luggage a quarter a mile away from the parking area near the church. We used GPS to try to get to the hotel - big mistake, - it took us to a street nearby without ability to move forward to the hotel or to the parking area. In addition, the hotel has 3 floors and no elevators - you may need to carry your luggage up the narrow stairs. Breakfast was basic but OK. The air conditioning in the room did not work.

Hotel is very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Very close to the Central Square and easy walking distance to many restaurants and places of interest.

This was a bit hard to find being located right in the middle of a very busy narrow street. One cannot drive to the hotel but there is parking about a block away. The room was surprisingly large and quiet. This was perfect for venturing out and hitting the highlight spots of this mid evil city. LOVED Evora

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel on a narrow cobbled street that was very busy in the day but quite quiet at night. Voices did seem to magnify from below, so we had to keep the windows and shutters closed at night in order to sleep. Also churchbells started ringing very early in the morning. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice friendly well-run little hotel just off the main square. Clean comfortable rooms and good breakfast. A little noisy in the evening since you are above the little street but this was not really a bother. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful with its combination of old world character but modern conveniences. However nothing else matters if the noise level from the street is so loud that you cannot sleep. The hotel should talk with guests about this and place the ones who want to sleep towards the back away from the street. It was such a shame that such a beautiful place was ruined in this way. Maybe noise machines in the street rooms could be an option?

This older hotel is in a terrific location (no traffic street and close to key historical sites). Staff are polite, respectful and professional. Rooms are well laid out, spacious and tastefully furnished. Vaulted ceilings, wooden window shutters and the upstairs salon were nice touches.
