Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

Recently stayed at Dreams and we had a blast. The entertainment team made every minute of the day fun and action packed. Felix, Berisa (sp?), and Ricky often the stars of the show. Jorge, from the gym, always had a great workout planned for the guests. Everyone’s energy was contagious. Everything was always clean from the large rooms to the many pools. We often purchased the cabana which was perfect for the long days by the pool.

Amazing stay at Dreams resort. Very friendly staff. Felix is the man! Felix did a good job running entertainment. He always greeted the kids and made sure everything was going well.

Nice hotel but virtually no beach. Pool levels are low. But service is great. Menu are limited. Salty food. Items are not up to a 5 star restaurent standard. Sevice is awesome

We had an amazing stay here! We had 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 & 6. Yes, the beach is practically non existent but the amount of reviews complaining about this is hysterical. Do your research before traveling and you won't have this issue! We were very aware of the beach situation so we had no issue with it. Check in was easy peasy! We were greeted with a welcome towel and drink and the kids were given a chocolate chip cookie. We arrived around 11am so our room was not ready, which we were prepared for. The resort had no issue holding our belongings and letting us use all the facilities upon our arrival. This was especially nice as when we stayed at Sunscape in March they would not let us eat or drink anything, or use their pool until after 3pm. We were shown around by a lovely woman named Josie and there was no annoying time share or vacation club presentation push. We very much appreciated this! There are several pools- one main pool with entertainment and a swim up bar, several smaller more quiet pools, an infinity pool, an adults only pool, a small splash pad/slide are for smaller kids, and a pool with 4 waterslides. The waterslides are fun for adults and children. My 6 year old could use 3 out of the 4 slides as slide 1 you must be 10 or older. Not a big deal at all. Slide 4 you can use tubes on, so bring your own. We brought 2 inner tubes and 2 hammock style floats. We used them in the pools with no issues and it was super nice having them. Overall I thought the food was great. I read a review about not having proper seafood- this could not be further from the truth. We had salmon, shrimp tacos, octopus, calamari, fried and grilled fish, etc. The only seafood we did not encounter was lobster or crab, which is not uncommon as these dishes are $$. In fact, we loved Balik so much for lunch that we ate there almost everyday. The calamari and shrimp gobernador tacos were absolutely incredible. Balik is where we met our 2 favorite employees- Sauli and Oscar. These two men were absolutely fabulous. So friendly and attentive. They remembered not only our food and drink orders but went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. We also ate at the Corner- our kids ate their weight in cheese fries, La Parrilla- excellent filet mignon, Miyako- Javier was fantastic and the hibachi was amazing, Ki, and Vivace. Ki and Vivace were our least favorite, but both were still okay. We didn't leave hungry that's for sure. When we had some food that was cold the manager was very attentive and ensured us he would rectify the situation. We were not complaining or causing a scene or anything, but it was clear he really wanted to ensure we had a great experience. We also saw managers at the buffet asking for feedback constantly on what they could be doing better. It was nice to see they were soliciting feedback to try and improve things. We were unable to eat at the French as we had kids with us, but we heard from other guests that it was fantastic. We never did the buffet for lunch or dinner, but breakfast was great. We utilized the omelet bar daily and there was always sausage links and bacon. We had a ground floor walkout pool view room. We were in building 10 room 10105. This room had 2 queen beds and was absolutely huge. They could have easily fit another queen size bed in there. There was also a table and chairs and a couch- not a pull out but big enough that my 6 year old slept here and housekeeping had no issues giving us extra sheets, blankets, and pillow for her to sleep there. The bathroom and shower were huge as well. There were no large issues with the room- some corners of the doors were fraying, there was a weird stain on the couch, and 2 q-tips on the floor. Not a huge deal, but a little more upkeep could be good. The bed was rock hard. That was a definite draw back. Kids club was strange to me. We travel alot and my 6 year old loves kid clubs. We tried to go 2x and both times were told it was not a leave your child situation. One time we went for "beauty time"- my daughter was absolutely thrilled for this. It was actually face painting and you could not leave your child. She was so bummed. The second time we tried we were told she could only stay for 45 minutes as they would then go outside for an activity. My daughter was like ok cool, I can play outside with you! They said no, it was not a drop off activity. I'm not sure why they call it a kids club if most of the activities parents have to stay for. The club is also only open until 5 so we were unable to utilize the adults only restaurant as I was not gonna leave my kids in our room while we ate. Again, not a huge issue, but strange hours. Other dreams resort kids clubs are open til 10. The road into the resort was sketchy to say the least. Giant pot holes that caused some traffic issues. I was pleasantly surprised to see that on our trip back to the airport they had significantly fixed the road. Still not perfect but the difference in just 6 short days was absolutely incredible. Excellent job! Overall we had a fantastic time! The resort wasn't over crowded, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was great, drinks were refreshing, and the pools were great. We got an excellent deal on our trip and for what I paid, I would absolutely go back.

We had six rooms and 12 different family members traveled for an early Christmas celebration! The rooms were all wonderful. My husband’s and mine did have a toilet that was leaking, which they came and fixed immediately. We all frequented Roots Cafe daily… and multiple times. The service provided by Sarani, Berenice, Ricardo, and Adriana was exceptional and they were all experienced baristas! There were multiple pools to select from…all with different vibes. All the restaurants did an amazing job accommodating our large, extended family, sitting us all together! It was a relaxing, quality family vacation…and an exceptional value!

Ricardo in the telephone switch board made our trip! Every morning for room service and anything else I needed for the week was handled with a smile and pure pleasantry!!

We stayed at Dreams Puerto Morelos as a family with children and were very disappointed with multiple aspects of the resort. Entertainment & Kids Club: Entertainment is very poor overall. The kids club is especially problematic — it smells extremely strong of chemical perfume/air freshener to the point that it’s impossible to stay inside. The smell is overwhelming and concerning for children. There is also very little to do inside the kids club. You cannot leave your kids there because during the day they frequently take the children outside for activities (face painting, bracelets, etc.) and then ask parents to return and pick up their children if the group moves outdoors. This defeats the purpose of a kids club. Pools, Cleanliness & Wildlife: The pools are often dirty and full of sand. There are no heated outdoor pools. We also witnessed raccoons swimming in the resort pool, which raises serious health and sanitation concerns, especially in a family resort. It was unclear whether the pool was closed or properly disinfected afterward. Beach: The beach is not usable — there is no real beach, only rocks and heavy seaweed. The area is not cleaned properly, with visible plastic and garbage. Food & Dining: Food is just okay. Desserts are very disappointing — even the croissants are tasteless. There is no cheesecake, and overall dessert quality is poor. Seafood options are extremely limited — no proper shrimp dishes or local seafood like expected at other resorts. There are no readily available gluten-free options unless ordered well in advance, and even then it takes a long time to prepare. Location & Access: The road entering the resort is in terrible condition — no asphalt, deep holes, and extremely bumpy. Every time we left the resort, the kids felt uncomfortable. Overall for Families: There is very little to do during the day for kids besides a small kids pool. The waterpark is just fine, but we didn’t use it much. Overall, this resort does not meet expectations for a Dreams property and is not family-friendly as advertised.

Such a beautiful resort, family friendly and the staff were very courteous, and Dennis was the best with his hospitality, and we would definitely come back here again
