Great views ... The hotel has great bones so much potential here but the place looks run down the Fossetts weren’t working properly there was mold ..Walls need to be repainted carpet was dirty

This hotel HAD seen it's glorious days. Past tense. The design of the hotel is beautiful but the entire hotel seriously needs a better up keep. We booked 3 rooms and all the rooms are SHABBY. Torn carpets, peeling paints, curtains with lots and lots of holes, scratched wood that has not been re-stained...toilets leaking... bath tubs just a mess. ALL 3 rooms are a MESS!!!! The views from our bedrooms are the ONLY redeeming factor. Try to book the Presidential suite.

On the bright side, our room had a 180 degrees panoramic view of Guanajuato, it was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Here is why I will not recommend it nor go back there: the room was musty and stuffy, the ceiling paint peeling off everywhere, the bed sheets had nail polish stain, the towels were sparse and worn, for that price I'd expect at least two towels per guest and a robe, the carpet was stained and worn with threads pulled out, the windows were dirty, the plumbing in the bathroom was rickety and leaking, the shower is a danger zone, if you are older with mobility issues you are at risk of not being able to use it, the shower water thunders down, there is in the shower a light fixture with exposed wire, the armchairs are do cruddy they shine with filth. This hotel needs serious remodel and given its present condition it is exorbitant.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. I am a frequent traveler and I had never experienced this kind of low maintenance in a hotel that is supposed to be premium. See the pics, we had a suite and it was very big but it was really dirty . Dust (a lot of dust) in all the wooden doors, humidity and fungus in the ceiling, fungus in the amenities basket, stained and old carpets, broken curtains,dirty windows, stained bedspread, stained sofas (like if they weren't cleaned ever). The sofas were so dirty that I didn't even want to sit there to see the view of the city (the only attraction of this hotel). At night, the wind blows very strong and you hear the buzz in the windows, a little bit scary. To make things worse, there was a power cut in the area and we had no water for two hours...don't they have an energy power plant? The only good thing was the food, and the staff were friendly. It's a shame, it's a pretty hotel but the owners seem not to care at all.

EXCELENT LOCATION, BUT.....THE FIRST DAY WE DIND`T HAVE HOT WATER IN THE SHOWER.

I have eaten here in years gone past and it was always a good traditional Mexican restaurant. Sorry to say it just has not been kept up and is in disarray - We knew something was wrong when they told us they were only excepting cash, when we told them we were using cards from work they had to go to the hotel to see if they could use their machine. The menu is limited and you get the feeling they might not have everything on hand. The bar is very limited - I had to have them just bring what they did have instead of asking over and over. The salads and soup were good, but the main course took forever and once we were served we all were let down. I ordered the house special Filet - grilled filet with a mushroom wine sauce. I am not sure what cut of meat it was, but it was not filet and it was not very good. I hear that the breakfast is really good, but have not been there to try it. The wait staff were trying hard, but between the limited choices their job was tough. The view is an amazing view of Guanajuato from the highest point in the area.

Received great service from Juan Jose Chavez who was attentive to our needs, presidential room had the best view and room was pretty clean, front service lady helped us call for a Taxi as well as other guests. Experience from a one night stay.

The reviews I have read about this hotel are all accurate. It has a great location and the views are stunning. Our room was large and welcoming. But then value for money, it starts to get bad. There is no restaurant service to speak of and staff are not interested. Things simply do not work, and there seems no interest in maintaining the hotel. As bad reviews continue accumulate, the hotel will have to do or die.

Many things that need to be fixed: curtains, broken phone, dark barhroom, etc....A VERY nice property that could be kept in a much better condition. A shame. ,
