Hotel Downtown

Greeted by very good staff. Although a non smoking hotel we had to change rooms from the fist one given to us as it smelt badly of smoke! No problem but still a minor hassle moving rooms. Only other comment re the room which was large and well done was the heating, it was just so hot. I know it was cold outside but the room does not need to be that hot.. Breakfast was excellent and overall the hotel is great for th money, very good value

I went to Sofia to acquaint myself with the city, and found this hotel to be well located for that purpose. All the major sites are within easy walking distance, and the staff is helpful.

Not a bad room, spacious and comfortable but a less an average service and an unprofessional staff.the room is empty, no water, iron and board or any other necessity.

Incredibly helpful staff, excellent breakfast and fast wifi. Let down by external noise and the darkness of the room. The hotel, whilst clean, is also in need of refurbishment. If you want parking, make sure you reserve it in advance.

The only thing stoping me from giving this hotel a top rating is the strange interior design. Not sure if it was updated at different times, but nothing seems to match. If you can get pass that, the hotel is clean, staff goes out of the way to help, great buffet style breakfast and you can't beat the location. There is a casino next to the hotel, but don't think Las Vegas. The close proximity to it didn't affect our stay.

Location is good. close to Metro station and no more than 3- 4 leva by taxi from city center. OK Room, not too fancy but good standard and clean. Very welcoming staff. stayed there for few nights.

This is a well situated hotel which provided superb, personal service. All staff were attentive, courteous and pleasant, anticipating our needs. The bedroom was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The staff team booked specific day trips for us and were interested in our experiences. Hotel Downtown is a credit to Sofia.
