We were unable to check in until after 3pm despite check-in supposedly being at 3pm. When we finally got into the room, we discovered we had been given a double bed instead of the two singles we had booked and then the sheets did not fit the bed also there are no mattress or pillow protectors and the pillows were as old as me .. I’m 59 .. The problems only got worse from there. The television wasn’t working, and neither was the remote. Staff initially put dead batteries into the remote, which obviously didn’t solve the issue. Eventually they replaced them properly and got it working. The cleanliness and maintenance of the room were unacceptable. There was toothpaste left in the sink, the toilet brush had fallen off the wall, and the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. The shower didn’t work properly either — water was pouring out of the side instead of through the shower head, flooding the bathroom floor. We had to request extra towels to clean the mess ourselves when staff should have dealt with it. The bedside lamp was being held together by mastic! Breakfast was absolutely diabolical. The omelette was dripping in grease and filled with some sort of white mozzarella-style cheese that tasted awful it was also cold. I couldn’t even photograph the full English breakfast the next day because the waiter quickly whipped it away after I questioned it and asked him if he would eat it himself. His response was, “We’re very busy, we’ve got a family of 17 in.” That is not an excuse. If you know you’re going to be busy, get another chef in instead of serving food covered in burnt black bits from the grill pan, burnt bacon, and giving customers items they didn’t ask for. I ordered sautéed potatoes and got a hash brown instead. my daughter in law ordered a white bread bacon sandwich and was given a brioche roll with burnt bacon. Two couples on another tabel also complained. We were made to feel like we shouldn’t have asked for extra coffee and tea to the point they said they had run out of coffee yet the night time receptionist found some 🤔 FUNNY THAT ! The staff were pleasant at first, but once they realised how many mistakes had been made, they seemed to stop caring altogether. The receptionist happily helped other guests with their luggage and buggies but sat and watched us struggle with ours. This hotel is absolutely not disabled friendly. There are around six steps at the front entrance, meaning you have to carry suitcases, baby buggies, and wheelchairs up and down them. To make matters worse, the stairs themselves are cracked and falling apart. The lift is an old style lift where you have to punch two gates across to get in and out they are very stiff and hard to push especially if you have osteoarthritis like me .. Would I stay here again? Never. Do I appreciate the fact they allowed me to rebook following a death in the family over Christmas? Yes, I do. But unfortunately, that is the only positive thing I can say about this stay I am really disheartened with this hotel after my friend recommending it so for future reference READ THE REVIEWS ! You can get parking permits for the hotel for £2.50 but good luck finding a parking space otherwise it’s £7.50 to park in the NCP car park where cars had been broken in to. Pop up to the pub on the pier they have some great live entertainment up until 9pm. If you want to go in to Brighton catch the 12x by the pier it takes about an hour last bus leaves Brighton at 11.59 ….

Location was perfect and junior suite was lovely, the views were amazing with big windows could see the sea in front of us with pier to the left and band stand to the right. Room was clean and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing, very greasy and alot of confusion on the price, you can get room service or eat in the restaurant, quiet a difference in the price. Cheaper to get room service.

Location, rooms and view, facilities, everything was perfect.

Not much, can get a bit busy

Was a lovely stay at the property for my kid’s first birthday. We were given an upgrade to a mini suite option for a reasonable cost which was totally worth it. The room size was big for three of us with a lovely sunrise and beach view. The jacuzzi was perfect for an evening relaxation. There were minor hiccups but then it all worked out fine. The owner took personal interest in the wellbeing of the guests. There are some live shows occasionally planned and we were happy to be a part of one. Will certainly stay at this property should I visit Eastbourne again. Highly recommend.
