1. Worst behavior of receptionist & Service manager. 2. For a room tariff of ₹13,500/- they given Excutive room (109) with dirty and smelly room, one expects a clean and cozy stay. The floor was broken at multiple places with dust and old ear buds and the TV unit without remote you have to go in and off manually. 3. Bathrooms mirror dull, bath glass partition is broken were poorly maintained and not clean. 4. Bed is not comfortable you get body pain. 5. Food is taste and not hot. Don’t use buffa it’s not worth for 1,500/- 6. They trying to scam on room mini bar so people try to checkout before u enter the room.

I would like to share my experience at Chariot Beach Resort, which was extremely disappointing. To all Bengalis who are looking to relax and enjoy a stay at a 5-star resort — please do not come here by mistake. The quality of service here is far from satisfactory. When you ask for extra water, instead of providing bottled water, the staff bring water in an open container without a lid and pour it into your bottle. This is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional for a five-star resort. The rooms are extremely hot, and their outdated air conditioning systems fail to cool the room properly, making it very difficult to sleep at night due to the heat. Food is served on plates that look as if they have been licked by dogs. Around the resort, you will see plates and tea cups lying around in open areas. My overall experience at this resort was very poor. I did not like the quality of the food at all, and even the meat was not properly cooked. Although this resort claims to be a five-star property, in reality it does not come anywhere close to that standard. My experience was extremely bad, and I would not recommend this place.

The location is perfect with easy access to the beach. The rooms are not well maintained and need upgradation. Food was average and majority of the staff was new.

While the hotel has good potential, the current status of the facilities is way below the proclaimed 4 *. Many facilities are not open, e.g. the bar and the second restaurant and the beach needs a thorough cleaning to be worthwhile for guests. It is a pity, because the beach could be a strong asset. The facilities are long past their best days and repairs have been done rudimentary, e.g. the pool that on the surface is lovely, but where new tiles are just places loosely on top of old ones. Also repairs in our room was done much below a reasonable standard. It is a pity, because it would take only a little more effort to do justice to the facilities. It also seem that the personel employed have a low motivation and are not very forthcoming, e.g. as there was only one cup in the room and no drinking glass, we asked the hotel receptionists to supply this 3 times without any effect. In the end we took a couple of glasses from the restaurant that was also one of the few highlights through the servicemindedness of the manager Sumit, who tried his very best to help and served good meals despite the limitations of the facilities. In short, a resort with a quite low quality to price ratio, which could have been so much better with just a bit of repairs, a thorough cleaning and a bit of servicemindedness.

Good things first: The location is perfect for a weekend getaway. That’s the only positive. Now the reality: 1. The staff appeared sincere but clearly lacked proper training. We didn’t even receive a welcome drink, and there was little attentiveness overall—even though our check-in was not during a rush hour. 2. The rooms were smelly. For a room tariff of ₹10,000, one expects a clean and cozy stay. The flooring was broken at multiple places, and the TV unit looked like it was about to fall. 3. Bathrooms were poorly maintained and not clean. Towels were missing in one of the rooms allotted to us. 4. The beds had visible fungus. The bed headrest design clearly needs thorough and regular cleaning, which I doubt is ever done. Black fungus on the headrest hardly makes for a comfortable or hygienic sleep. 5. Restaurant service needs serious improvement. We ordered a simple tea and sandwich—it took an unusually long time just to get the tea, and even longer to receive the bill. This happened when only my family and one other couple were present. After this experience, we skipped having any further meals at the restaurant. Overall: A very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this property to anyone. I regret not checking the reviews before booking and falling only for the location. Infrastructure-wise, the property has good potential, but maintenance is poor and service quality needs major improvement.

We initially stayed in a pool view cottage (room no 314) which had drainage issues . After the house keeping man came and checked it and said the bathroom floor surface is uneven that’s the reason the water is not draining . Also he said he will inform the house keeping to mop the floor every now and then. What a ridiculous statement is this and how come their management doesn’t know about this room and still allocating it to their customer. Did i pay 10k just for staying in such a bad room. And they changed the room after we asked couple of time … And coming to the next room 315 - it was stinky and too many mosquitoes. And coming to the faucet it was not working properly…. To my surprise both rooms had the same faucet issue. For the amount they are charging they can buy 10-12 new faucet from Amazon (single faucet costs RS 700 /- only) and fix it 🤦🏽‍♀️ Overall poor maintenance and totally unhappy with the room for the amount i paid.

It was such a pleasure staying in chariot the place is very calm and good.Especially the security officer Mr.P.Durai murugan is very polite ,friendly and also followed for provinding lost things.He is highly recommended for his best service.

The overall experience was disappointing. Although we arrived on time, we still had to wait nearly two hours to get our room. The kids’ play area was poorly maintained, and several amenities like the TV and intercom didn’t work until we reported them for repair. It felt as though the property was designed and maintained primarily with foreign guests in mind. Additionally, the snacks provided in the room were priced at almost four times the MRP. On the positive side, the room was clean, the swimming pool was enjoyable, breakfast was good, and the indoor games were satisfactory.

Our experience at Chariot Beach Resort was terrible. The service was poor, and the Managing Director spoke rudely to our family instead of showing professionalism. Safety was our biggest concern – we never felt secure during our stay. This resort is absolutely not family-friendly, and I strongly advise families to avoid it until they learn how to treat guests with respect and prioritize safety.

It is a very big and beautiful property and has its own private beach, but there is dirt all around. The staff is not caring and their behavior is not professional. We had booked a gala dinner in our package, but when we reached there, there was no table reserved for us. They troubled us for about half an hour, and only then was a table arranged. The restaurant was dirty, and the juice served at breakfast had a bad smell. No one was taking care of us. Overall, it was a horrible experience. I will not suggest anybody to opt for this resort. There are so many star renowned property available near by.
