I recently stayed one night at this Hyatt on my way to Detroit. The room itself was spacious, well laid-out, and had all the amenities I needed for a short stay. The front desk staff were friendly, which I appreciated. However, the noise level was a huge issue for me. The walls were so thin I could hear people talking next door, footsteps and movement from the room above, and even street noise from outside. The slamming of doors in the hallway was constant and very disruptive. On top of that, even though I was assured a late checkout, I was constantly disturbed by housekeeping knocking on my door in the morning, which defeated the purpose of getting that extended time to rest. Another slight disappointment was the limited selection in the hotel’s tuck shop. I was hoping for more basic items, such as juice or snacks, especially late at night. All they had were pretzels, energy drinks, and a couple of sodas. Overall, I would stay here again due to its proximity to the highway and the size of the rooms, but I would request a quiet floor.

Our room was clean, had good options for breakfast, the hotel smelt good, housekeeping and maintenence staff were nice. I was able to focus on what i was in the area for, and not have to deal with issues with the hotel, which is a relief.

The size of the room is amazing! We really liked having as much space as we did to spread out.

The breakfast was just fine, nothing special. We wish there was a microwave in the room. And the pool was surprisingly chilly, though it didn’t keep my son away!

I was very disappointed with my stay at Hyatt Place in Wyoming, Michigan. The king suite offered minimal sink space, and the mini fridge was unstable and did not keep items cold. The television volume was extremely low—we had to increase it to nearly level 50 just to hear clearly. The pillows were not true pillows at all, but rather rolled-up sheets made to look like pillows, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The breakfast was also underwhelming, with watery eggs, cold sausage links, and very few options overall. It would be better to dine elsewhere. Room temperature was difficult to regulate, and the shower water pressure was weak. Additionally, the light switch near the door cut power to the outlet where my laptop was charging, forcing us to leave the lights on overnight just to keep it powered—making it hard to sleep. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations.

It’s clean and they always have a friendly staff working. They stock my favorite drink in there little shop which is great get to enjoy it. Very clean facility and always have a great time experience staying here.

Bed was comfortable

Lay out of room is terrible End of king bed is very close to wall so had to squeeze around. foot of bed is too close to AC unit so it blew cold air on my feet the whole time- but room was still fairly over heated The bathroom lay out was even worse. The door went over my toes unless I stood beside the toilet to open or close the door. The towels rack was inside the shower so towels got wet. The lighting was too low level especially around the mirrors, but really it was hard to get enough light anywhere Our refrigerator was not one, so my spouse had to pull it out off the shelve and turn it on and then it did not come on and start to cool for 20 minutes

The staff was very accommodating. Room was spacious. Free breakfast was better than a lot of hotels.

Loud air conditioner, had to switch rooms because t.v. didn't work, had to request refill of shower gel. Seems like standard things that should be checked in room turnover.
