Our room was great but some rice on the floor that had not been vacuumed up. Our daughter’s room had a bad smell. Jake on reception dealt with it extremely well and arranged for another room immediately, which was perfect. The breakfast and facilities were amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall it was a clean hotel. We would definitely stay again.

I have stayed in this hotel 4 times over the last year and always enjoyed our stay just off the M6 plenty of parking the staff always welcoming and pleasant plenty of ground around the hotel is well set back from the road we are booked in again this month would recommend this hotel for a stop over for commuting

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, with the exception of the first impression on our way to our room. To be fair, I think we must have checked in at the wrong time when the rooms were being cleaned out. The corridors were full of dirty sheets, duvets, pillows and empty bottles which we had to meander through with our suitcases on our way to our room. Not the greatest! However, on a positive note, once we arrived at our room, it was very clean and well equipped. The evening meal was superb value for money and great quality. Jacqueline, our waitress went above and beyond for our family and was such a pleasant lady to talk to. Our whole family commented on what a nice person she was. We would stay again but hopefully avoid room changeover time next time!! Perhaps there might be another way to change over the rooms so guests don't have to wade through the mess!

Ask people to fill their details in on arrival ! Husband came to collect 3 paying guests approached desk asked for instructions to his friends room ! He was giving them a lift to a party nearby , he was designated driver he waited for just over an hour for them to get ready and they all left Now resulting in £60 fine from parking eye ! Thanks for that

It was a nice stay, the gym needs updating. I feel strongly about this as most of my sty’s are based on that.

Amazing but i always strip beds before i leave unfotuatly the mattress cover was so badly soiled but the mattress & bedding were spotlessly clean the staff & food were excellant my second stay here & i will definitely be returning

Currently staying at the Holiday Inn M6 Haydock - booked three rooms using IHG points. After five nights, I'm still waiting for our room to be serviced. Bedding has not been changed, bed has not been made, no vacuuming, no cleaning of the bedroom or bathroom - despite leaving the "Please make up the room" sign on the door. Clean towels and replenishment of coffee/milk after four days only because I collared the housekeeping staff. Complementary restocking of the minbar only when the staff can be bothered (sometimes just left outside the room). Not really how any member should be treated - let alone a Gold member. When I complained to the duty manager, he was apologetic, but a compensatory 2000 points just doesn't cut it when you're spending up to 37,000 points per night. Fortunately, Holiday Inn Haydock has some great staff, like Jade, who know how to provide good customer service.

Great hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Spacious, spotless room with the comfiest of beds, guaranteed a proper night’s sleep. Powerful roomy shower & huge fluffy white towels. Had room service on 2nd night, huge portions & very tasty. 1st visit to this hotel & definitely won’t be the last. Thanks to the team 👏👏👏

Excellent stay with great staff. Good location. Had a problem with the shower not able to control the temperature of the water too hot.. Spoke with louise on reception extremely helpful offered refund via hotels.com. Rang hotels.com and spoke with a lovely lady Kavita who is sorting this with the hotel. We will be back. Excellent service.
