A very good Holiday Inn with close proximity to Haydock Racecourse. Fairly limited food choices several of which were not available. Check in was superb and they corrected a real problem. Louise was particularly good on reception

Great hotel! We stayed Easter weekend (came home Saturday before Easter Sunday) as we were visiting the family fun day in the races. Staff are very friendly here especially the breakfast staff. Our room was clean and very spacious, we booked a premium room when it was on offer and it was excellent value for money. The pool was ok, we were confined to one lane which was a bit odd but it was still enjoyed by our children. The hotel really makes an effort for families, there was an egg hunt through out the lobby and once completed the kids got a little toy. We had no clue this was on and it was completely free. A very nice touch for Easter weekend and it was also nice to make families feel so welcomed. Breakfast was outstanding!! So good, so much choice and delicious. The staff made it even better for us and even brought over colouring in stuff for the girls and on the first morning they brought arts and crafts to the table for my little girl to make an Easter card for us. What an unbelievably thoughtful thing to do! Overall this hotel is fantastic and we can’t wait to come back for next year.

We recently stayed in Haydock while attending the races nearby on 22 May. Although the hotel’s exterior may not be particularly striking, the interior is a pleasant surprise—modern, clean, and welcoming. Our room was spotless with tasteful decor, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, attentive, and approachable, contributing to an overall enjoyable experience. A special mention must go to the lovely Abbie, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. As we arrived before our room was ready, she kindly arranged for our luggage to be placed in the room and even left us a thoughtful handwritten note. It’s those personal touches that truly elevate the experience. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and are already looking forward to returning in July for the next race meeting. Well done to the entire team!

Overnight stay after attending the races .Very convenient ,quiet and in an excellent location .We will definitely stay again

Great loction and great breakfast

Original plan was to go to the Cup Final until I calculated the cost. Extortionate ticket prices, hotel,food would have seen me shelling out almost £600 on my son and I. As a father of a 12 year old who adores hotels I decided upon a hotel we had stayed at once before. Dog friendly,pool,free kids breakfast, the Holiday Inn Haydock ticked all the boxes and we would be spending half the money we would of in the capital. As a man with a dodgy ticker, it was nice to check in and relax.We was given a voucher for 2 free drinks at the bar.Dylan the young lad on reception was an absolute credit to the company throughout our 2 night break. The female duty manager the same. If she is reading this I apologise for forgetting your name(Kim??). She lived just a mile from our home town so will remember us for sure. Friday night was quiet and after a couple of hours slumped in the comfy sofas we went to bed. Saturday was much livelier with a wedding taking place and more dogs on show than Crufts. Standards never dropped. Very hard to pick faults. The outside area was generally clean and the hotel can not be blamed for the thoughtless idiots who let there dogs foul. 12 check out rather than 11 am would suit more guests I feel. Fantastic. We will be back for sure x

Warm hospitality Greeted by Dylan on receptionist fantastic professional service and he was so accommodating to my preferences even offering to help me change rooms . Enjoyed drinks in bar served by freindly Paige service with a smile and Callum ensure a hearty evening 2 course meal, a bit pricy would have preferred all inclusive menu or special meals offer Staff all go tge extra mile to look after you so will book another night as fantastic customer service thankyou Jane room 217
