Vista Bahia Vacation Rental

The rental was poorly maintained, the furnishings were very old and mis-matched. The rooms need to be remodeled and deep cleaned. There were none of the amenities expected for a ‘resort’. The only towel in the room was a small dish towel.

I want to start by saying the owners are trying to make this a hospitable space. That being said, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Check in was easy when we arrived. However, when we got to the room the front door was left open and there were a lot of bugs in the room. I understand the hotel is very close to a beach and I have stayed at places in Hawaii that also have bugs. If they had left the door closed it would have reduced the bugs in the room. One of the beds was so hard it couldn't be used. The worst part was you have to ask for a room with hot water! We learned this the hard way and had to take cold showers for three days. When we checked out we could not find a staff member to give us a receipt, so we had to leave the room key on the front desk. The good things about this hotel is it is walking distance to a beach, the town is close by, excluding bugs the room was clean. I wanted to like this hotel, but I will never stay here again. It is worn down and needs work...and hot water.

Seemed abandoned. The lobby had all the chairs up and there was one guy with a dog. All the bar bottles were empty.

Although our reservation stated that breakfasts were included, none were served. Please note, the kitchen/restaurant on the property is not open. They do not have the staff for it. Therefore, unless you have a car there will only be two options nearby where to eat. That being said, we enjoyed our stay. We walked every day to Panama Beach. There is also access to a smaller beach within the property. Playa Buena is 15 a minute walk. The pool was kept really neat and clean.

The freedom to walk around in clean practically private beaches. Natural surroundings with plenty of birds and animals. Spacious rooms, great cooking facilities, excellent internet service. Close to Liberia and other attractions. Very friendly staff. We will stay there again. Great to bring the grand kids. Lots of tide polls and very calm ocean to swim

Expedia represents this property wrong. No toiletries. no bathrobe. no running hot water. doors don’t lock. Staff may just show up at 3 in the afternoon when there is no cleaning scheduled and just let themselves in your door, while you are inside. No knock. The only towels are the 2 pool towels. There was music blasted until 4A the first 2 nights from other units in the property. I will not ever use Expedia again if they do not remedy this for me.

First of all it cannot be called a Resort, it's NOT. It's buidings with studio rooms with kitchen. No amenities, no services, no restaurant, no bar. Just a pool with no shade. The room is very big, bed is decent and the tv too. Other than that, there is a lack of furniture or furniture in bad shape, like only one bed side table, and oldchairs that need to be updated. We didn't even open the sofa bed, it didn't seem to be in good shape, there were bo sheets or pillows for it. Towels are poor quality and need to be asked for. Bring your soap, towels, napkins, wine opener, wine glasses if you need. The showers need to be remodelled urgently. Old fawcetts, old broken bath tub that no one would ever use. The parking spaces are not marked and are very difficult to find, so, on high season the situation is chaotic, cars parked on the narrow streets make it very hard and dangerous to drive around, no one respects anything and there is no one to make rules or have people respect them.

The property had a good central location, and there was a beach when the tide was low. There was a pool, but we did not go in it. The room had a much to be desired though, broken chairs (like missing legs), VERY squeaky mattress (rolling over would wake someone up), only one very dull knife for preparing food (it was so dull it would not even cut soft fruit), cleaning service was only every other day and it was basically only a towel refresh/make the bed. If you are looking for a place to just rest your head--then this place will work, but if you are looking for a place that you would want to enjoy a nice relaxing vacation at--I would find another location.

The property was not maintained. Air conditioning was not working, Staff was unable to speak or understand English. The resort only had one other guest. The property was run down. Did not feel safe.
